This article will look at six under-the-radar seniors who fit the slot receiver mold.
Isacc Gomez Isacc Gomez WR Thornton | 2023 State CO | Thornton | 6’0”, 150lbs
Gomez is a phenomenal athlete who can fill positions on offense, defense, and special teams. His outstanding athleticism and speed make him a dangerous receiver, especially when lined up in the slot. He has quick releases and excellent acceleration, which he uses to exploit gaps with the defense’s secondary. Gomez is a player whose on-field skills make him an instant spotlight stealer.

Logan Miller Logan Miller 5'10" | WR Skyline | 2023 State CO | Skyline | 5’11”, 175lbs
Miller is a very talented athlete who has exploded onto the scene this offseason. He is a shifty route runner with great speed and good hand-fighting skills. He does an excellent job of getting the defender’s hands off him and creating separation. He tracks the ball well and has strong hands. His ability to attack the ball in the air makes him an absolute playmaker. Miller is a radar low-flier with tremendous potential of being a prime prospect.

Richard Okuno Richard Okuno 5'7" | 140 lbs | WR ThunderRidge | 2023 State CO | ThunderRidge | 5’7”, 140lbs
Okuno is on the verge of having a breakout senior season. He has the ideal skill set for a slot receiver. His route running is shifty and elusive, and he does a fantastic job of creating space when coming out of his breaks. He has good speed and great hands, making Okuno a must-watch player this fall.

Dylan McCollough Dylan McCollough 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Regis Jesuit | 2023 State CO | Regis Jesuit | 5’11”, 180lbs
McCollough is a legitimate sleeper with significant upside. His crafty release, explosive route running, and physical hand fighting make him a tough receiver to cover, especially against press-man coverage. He has reliable hands and the capability to finish routes as strong as he starts them. McCollough is a talented player who has the potential to be a steal for a lucky program.

Jordan Niesent Jordan Niesent 5'10" | 175 lbs | ATH Poudre | 2023 State CO | Poudre | 5’0”, 175lbs
Niesent is a show-stopping athlete who steals the spotlight whenever he steps onto the field. He has explosive acceleration and blazing speed, making him a nightmare for defensive coverages. Niesent is the type of athlete who stands out in every position he plays.

Zach Madril | Pueblo East | 5’10”, 170lbs
Madril is a recent radar pop-up with lighting speed and sharp techniques. He is an explosive receiver with elusive route running and run-after-catch abilities. His underneath routes make him especially dangerous because of his speed in open space. Madrill will be a slot receiver to keep an eye on this fall.
