Breylon Richards has started the past two seasons for Monroe as a freshman and a sophomore. Richards has good quickness off the line of scrimmage. He does a great job of shedding blocks and making tackles. I like how Richards makes physical tackles and always wraps up.
He showed his ability to shed blocks at a Central Michigan football camp recently. In one on one drills, he was nearly unblockable. Richards has displayed great speed as well. Recently at a Ferris State camp, he ran an impressive 4.8 40-yard dash. Breylon Richards will definitely be a guy to watch for Monroe next season and will make a big impact on both sides of the football.
Logan Frank | Senior | LB/RB | Twitter | Hudl
Frank is a very athletic linebacker. He shows a good ability to recognize plays and fly to the football. His play strength really shows up on tape as he can get off of blockers very well. You can tell that the Monroe coaching staff trusts his athleticism as they will line him up outside to cover the slot receivers.
Frank not only has good play speed on tape it shows up on the stopwatch as well. He has been clocked at a Ferris State camp running an impressive 4.3-second shuttle time. Frank’s short-area quickness and acceleration help him get after the quarterback. Frank has shown on tape great ability to not only sack the quarterback but make tackles at and behind the line of scrimmage. Frank has worked hard to put on muscle in this off-season and will look to continue his success this upcoming season.
Aidan Brodie | Senior | WR/DB | Hudl
Brodie is a very good competitor at the wide receiver position. He shows a good ability to jump up and get the football when it’s in the air. He does a good job of getting yardage on screen passes. Brodie has good hands and does a good job of securing the football after the catch. Aidan Brodie’s ball skills show up at the cornerback position as well. He has the ability to make plays on the football and come down with interceptions.
He does a great job of working back to cover receivers on comeback routes. Like his teammate Logan Frank, Brodie has good lateral movements and it helps him a lot when he drops into zone coverage. He is a great all-around football player who I expect to make more plays for Monroe this year.
Brayden Richard | Junior | DL/RB | Hudl
Richard is an outstanding blocker on the kick return team. He has put some terrific blocks on tape. You have to love a guy like Richard that consistently makes big-time blocks that set up big returns. Richard is always flying downfield to make tackles on the kickoff as well. I love how competitive Richard is in the defensive end position. He is always pursuing football and has the speed to run down ball carriers. Richard sets the edge well and is very physical at the point of attack. Richard is a physical tackler who never shies away from contact.
