Continue ReadingWe will cover the smaller class in North Dakota for the top performances at the Class B State Track Meet. In a Class covered with a lot of Senior talent, it was difficult to find the underclassmen talent across the State but there was a few impressive performances in the Meet.
’23
Jack Packer– (Kindred) Shot Put (58’5″) & Discus (164’) Class B Champion. Not only winning both throws, but by a matter of feet rather than inches. Displayed his strength and technique in both events.
’24
Izaak Kudrna– (Dickinson Trinity) 100m (11.7, 6th), 4x400m relay (3rd) & 4x200m relay Class B Champions. Three top 6 finishes while sprinting 900 meters in the meet is a pretty good day.
Jake Shobe– (Dickinson Trinity) 400m (50.67, 2nd), 4x400m relay (3rd) & 4x200m relay Class B Champions. Three top three finishes while sprinting a mile is a very good day on the track,
Logan Weninger– (Carrington) 200m (23.45, 8th), 400m (50.98, 6th). Even though he only had two medals, he ran two more races which put his final distance on the day at 2,800 meters.
Hunter Rasmussen– (Bowman County) Shot Put (49’8″, 6th), Discus (157’1″, 2nd). He found the adrenaline rush at the perfect time. Throwing his personal bests in both events by sizable margins, shot put by two feet, and discus by close to ten feet. Shows that he got his technique down at the right time as well.
Bohden Duffield– (Bowman County) Long Jump (20’9.5″, 5th), 4x100m relay (6th), 4x200m relay (6th), 4x400m relay (4th). Four top 6 finishes, while sprinting 1,000 meters then getting in a few long jumps with some good distance on the day.

Tallen Thorson– (Harvey/Wells County) 110m Hurdles (16.08, 2nd), 4x100m relay (5th) 4x200m relay (2nd), & 300m Hurdle Class B Champion. Took home four medals as freshman. That will be a huge confidence booster going into his Sophomore football season.
