Dominic Ingrassia, 2024, San Marin
A lot to like about Ingrassia’s skillset and combination of natural ability and technique. At 6’2” 185 lbs. he’s a smooth athlete that can maneuver around the pocket and avoid pressure while keeping his eyes downfield for an open target. He’s a natural passer with plus arm strength and accuracy at all three levels. Shows a good ability to layer the ball over second level defenders with good touch and trajectory. Precise with his footwork and throwing mechanics, he maintains a balanced platform with good ball positioning capped off with a smooth over the top release. He showed good anticipation and timing throughout the day. Good upside and potential as he continues to develop.
Dayton Tafoya, 2023, Central
Tafoya is an impressive dual-threat QB with savvy athleticism. The game/position come naturally for him with his instincts and ability to improvise. As a passer, he’s efficient with his footwork and throwing mechanics allowing him to hit his spots at all three levels and use his quick release to get the ball out on time. Maintains a good balanced throwing platform throughout but has also demonstrated the ability to throw off-platform under pressure or on the run to either direction. Does a good job scanning the whole field and working through his progression even when maneuvering around the pocket. Effective runner when he pulls it down and takes off, he can make defenders miss with both his speed and lateral agility. He’s one of the top 2023 prospects in the central valley and deserves to be more highly recruited.
Phillip Jones Jr., 2024, Mesquite (AZ)
A gifted athlete with explosive playmaking ability with both his arm and his legs. Not the biggest guy at 5’11” 165 lbs. but doesn’t lack arm strength. The ball jumps out of his hand with good velocity and zip especially at the short/intermediate levels. Throws an excellent deep ball with good flight and touch allowing his receivers to run underneath and make a play after the catch. Possesses an effortless over the top throwing motion with full arm extension to get good height and trajectory on the ball at every level. Does a great job extending plays with his legs to escape pressure creating open throwing lanes or pulling it down to tuck it and run. Finished as one of the top testers in the QB group running a 4.5 40 and a 4.6 shuttle. Was also selected as one of the top three QBs and participated in the best on best competition. Look for him to have a breakout junior season at Mesquite.
Dallas Munn Dallas Munn 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Capital Christian | 2025 State CA , 2025, Rocklin
Dallas showed a strong foundational skillset to build on entering his sophomore year. At 6’1” 195 lbs., he possesses a strong and physically good build for his age. A developing passer whose strength shows in his high velocity throws at the first/second level and in his ability to push the ball vertically with precision. He’s confident in his abilities as a passer and is comfortable throwing from the pocket or on the run. Has proved to be a big time threat as a runner, he’s a physical and aggressive ball carrier that is an extremely tough tackle once he gets going downhill. He’s performed well throughout the offseason and various camps/showcases and has a ton of potential and upside as he continues to develop.
Xzavior Guess, 2025, El Modena
Guess caught the attention of coaches and scouts early in the day finishing as one of the top overall testers at the camp posting a 4.59 40, a 4.44 shuttle, and a 7.25 L-Drill. Through the positional drills and competition portions he flashed advanced technical ability and mechanics for just a freshman. Plus footwork in the pocket, he shows good fluidity and gets into his drop quickly before landing with a well-balanced platform ready to deliver. At 5’10” 145 lbs. he possesses surprising arm strength that’s displayed when he’s completing off-platform passes at the second and third level without sacrificing velocity. Natural athleticism and awareness allows him to move away from traffic or escape pressure while keeping his eyes downfield for an open target. One to watch over the next couple seasons.
Brayden Downen Brayden Downen 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB Lakewood | 2023 State CA , 2023, Lakewood
A lot to like about Downen’s skillset with his strong combination of natural athleticism and technical ability as a passer. Smooth and efficient footwork in his drop, he’s quick to get to his spot and gather with good ball placement before the release. Good anticipation and timing, his throws are made in stride with his receivers and shows the ability to throw his target open. Can hit his spots in all areas of the field and does a good job mixing up velocities to throw a catchable ball. High football IQ, he’s able to read coverage and process information quickly to make smart decisions with the football. Great composure and demeanor in his game and under pressure. Has collected a handful of D3/NAIA offers but could pop this season and see his recruiting stock on the rise if he continues on the same trajectory.
