Continue ReadingIowa Class 1A West Sioux Falcons of Head Coach Ryan Schwiesow have a feature running back in 2023 RB/OLB Carter Bultman Carter Bultman 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB West Sioux | 2023 IA 6-1 (190) made 2nd team all-state as a junior. Bultman rushed for (1,287) yards (6.8) ypc and (12) scores in a dynamic offense that reached the end-zone over (100) times. Bultman also caught (39) passes for (472) yards and (8) touchdowns out of the backfield. Bultman has great hands and vision in the open field. Bultman can close quickly on defense from his OLB spot where he racked up (30) total tackles. Competed in 2022 spring track on the 4×100 team that set a school record at the Iowa state meet of (43.32) good for a 3rd place finish! Comes from a great team culture where the Falcons are (32-6) overall the last three seasons and finished as state runner up last fall. The Falcons are looking to take home a state title in 2022.
“I am excited for my senior season and am working hard right now in the weight room and trying to lead by example. I have worked on my speed this spring and experienced success in track which should translate well to the football field. June will be a busy month for me. I plan to attend three camps. Iowa Class 4A Sioux City East of first year Head Coach Mike Winklepleck returns a crafty experienced DT in senior Cale Pittenger Cale Pittenger 6'1" | 260 lbs | DL Sioux City East | 2023 State IA 6-1 (250) who has played alot of snaps. Pittenger collected (32.5) tackles up front along with (4.5) sacks and (14.5) TFL and will be one of the leaders for a defense that returns nine starters. Pittenger uses his hands well inside and holds his gaps by getting off blocks. Pittenger currently holds an offer from NAIA powerhouse Morningside University and is drawing interest from other schools who are awaiting senior game film.
“I plan to camp at Grand View on June 12th, University of South Dakota on the 15th, UNI on the 19th and South Dakota State on the 23rd. I have really been working on my change of direction this off-season and working to improve my speed. Our head coach was part of our defensive staff last season so I know my teammates feel comfortable in his system and we have some talent returning defensively,” stated Pittenger. Iowa Class 1A Hinton Blackhawks of head coach Kadrian Hardersen has one of the better offensive linemen in NW Iowa with 2023 prospect Garrett Divis Garrett Divis 6'4" | 250 lbs | OL Hinton | 2023 IA 6-4 (260) who holds current offers from Wayne State College and Grandview University with several other schools showing interest awaiting senior tape. Divis is comfortable at center or guard. Divis shows an ability to block really well inside the tackle box and enjoys pulling and getting to the edge as well. Divis is set to have a busy June with camp stops at Iowa State, Iowa, UNI, Wyoming, South Dakota State, University of South Dakota and St. Thomas University.
“I am always looking to improve and have been working on my technique and footwork in preparation for upcoming camps and I have been hitting the weight room with focus. I am looking forward to my senior year and want to win. We have a capable running game and I am looking forward to clearing the way for our backs,” concluded Divis. Iowa Class 4A Sioux City North of head coach Mitch Mohr coming off a solid (6-3) 2021 season have a very good college prospect in 2023 senior Chase Keller Chase Keller 6'3" | 245 lbs | OL Sioux City North | 2023 IA 6-3 (280) OT/DT. Keller is a mauler in the running game and does a good job finishing his blocks to spring the Stars talented backfield. Keller works well in space and enjoys getting to the second level in the run game. Keller is drawing interest from Morningside University, Briar Cliff University along with Simpson College. Keller is planning to camp at Morningside University and Augustana University in Sioux Falls this June.
“I am working really hard on my footwork and in the weight room so I can be explosive at the point of attack. I am trending toward some goals I have in the weight room and our culture as a team is very good in there.
