Being overlooked is something that Colorado athletes know all too well, but they are not going completely unnoticed. This article will cover four slept-on senior quarterbacks from the class of 2023 who are absolute steals as recruits.
Jazel Riley IV Jazel Riley IV 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Golden | 2023 State CO | Golden | 6’2, 206lbs
Riley IV is heading into the most anticipated senior season for a Colorado QB. He is a phenomenal playmaker with a big-time arm and showstopping athleticism. He has sharp instincts, which is what his impressive pocket awareness seems to be built around. Riley IV is arguably one of the best dual-threat QBs in the state with elite skill and talent, making him an absolute steal as a Division I prospect.

Kaiden Box Kaiden Box 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Skyline | 2023 State CO | Skyline | 6’4”, 195lbs
Box is easily one of the top throwers in the state. He has excellent height with superb throwing mechanics and a cannon for an arm. His drop steps are quick, and his release is sharp with accurate ball placement, giving him the ability to effortlessly run the quick game or push the ball down the field. Box is one of the top pro-style QBs with the potential of being a legitimate contender every season for a conference’s leader in passing yards, making him an absolute sleeper.

Tyler Kubat Tyler Kubat 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Fossil Ridge | 2023 State CO | Fossil Ridge | 6’5”, 205lbs
Kubat is a significantly underrated QB with a massive frame. He is extremely agile for a player of his stature, allowing him to extend plays with his mobility and brute strength. He has a strong arm and the ability to throw accurate mid-range and deep passes while on the run. Kubat is a formidable downfield passer with a skill set that makes him the ideal candidate for a passing scheme with deeper route concepts.

Evan Rearick | Erie | 6’3”, 210lbs
Rearick is perhaps the most under-the-radar QB in the class because he has to sit behind one of the nation’s top juniors, but that does not negate his outstanding talent as a shot-caller. He has excellent arm strength and good ball placement, which helps him lead his receivers so they can make the catch in stride. Rearick is a mobile QB who is a strong runner capable of picking up tough yards with his legs, making him a sleeper worthy of a closer look.
