2021 Record: 6-5
THE RAIDERS
There is no getting around that 2021 was an up and down season for this program that ended with a first-round state playoff loss to eventual 8A state champion Venice.
In between, this team lost four times – with setbacks coming to Lithia Newsome, rival Plant City Durant, 6A state champion Tampa Jesuit and 7A state runner up Tampa Bay Tech.
With a rugged schedule, this team learned and got better through the year.
Beating Tampa Jefferson (21-0), Riverview (35-0), Tampa Chamberlain (29-16), Valrico Bloomingdale (25-15) and Ruskin Lennard (48-7) gave them plenty of confidence.
With several returnees from last year, here is a team that headed into spring confident and left feeling really good.
