As they look to take their sophomore season snaps underway in the coming months, we’ve seen a number of stock risers across all positions. Without further ado, let’s dive into Part 4 of our Stock Risers.
Jordan Kenerson Jordan Kenerson 6'2" | 230 lbs | DL Hillcrest | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Kenerson is a young man that has potential to develop into a run stopping defensive end. His ability to continue working through the block and force the ball carrier to bounce outside to try to turn the corner is one to keep an eye on. Here, he not only is able to secure the tackle on the perimeter, he also gives time for his teammates to rally to the ball. Let’s not forget the first clip in his highlights where he reads the halfback screen and is able to disengage the block to undercut the screen for an interception either. I’m very interested to see how he produces this upcoming season. Also takes snaps at halfback providing glimpses of his potential there as well.
Brayden Trimble Brayden Trimble 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Mt. Zion | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Trimble is an X receiver that can secure the receiver screen on the perimeter and make the first defender miss in open space before getting vertical. If you think you’re going to grab tackle him to the ground, you have another thing coming as he keeps his feet driving through contact to break weak grab tackles gaining extra yards on the play. He also provides glimpses of being able to adjust last second to back shoulder throws to secure the catch on deep shots downfield. If the play isn’t going to him, he’s not going to take the play off. Rather, this young man is going to continue working through the whistle whether that’s running his route full speed from backside of the play or stalk blocking downfield to give the ball carrier an alley to hit in open space. Keep an eye on this young man this upcoming season as the best is yet to come.
Ian Willis Ian Willis 5'9" | 170 lbs | WR St. Francis | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Willis is a slot receiver that can secure the bubble screen and make the first defender miss in open space before getting vertical as he weaves in/out of defenders. This isn’t the only place where his elusiveness is showcased, this is also seen when he secures underneath routes and when he runs jet sweeps as well. All of which his elusiveness comes to light. One are that he showcases glimpses in is his ability to adjust to secure contested catches on 50/50 balls. I’m very interested to see how this develops over the course of his high school career. Currently, it’s looking like Mr. Willis is going to be another Top WR to come out of St. Francis once his career is all said and done.
Tony Chahino Tony Chahino 6'1" | 200 lbs | QB Geneva | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Chahino’s ability to evade pressure and extend the play is impressive to say the least at such a young age. If you think you’re going to sack this young man because you collapsed the pocket, you have another thing coming as he can find an open alley to escape. He is then able to keep his eyes downfield to find his outlet to keep the chains moving. There’s one clip that stands out in terms of his mobility where it’s a QB design run. Here, he’s able to get through the line of scrimmage before he lowers his shoulder to stick the linebacker in front of him putting the defender on his back before continuing upfield breaking a long run. His competitive nature of not giving up on plays and not being afraid to play through contact are one to keep an eye on from this young man.
Jaiden Padilla Jaiden Padilla 5'8" | 190 lbs | RB Taft | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Padilla is a young man that I had a chance to see in person during this last fall season. His ability to get through the hole quickly and stay N/S using his foot quicks to not only gain a step on the 2nd level defenders but also break long runs when doing so are one to keep an eye on. If you don’t properly run fit or miss a gap when doing so this young man can make you pay. He’s also a threat in the receiving game on halfback screens where he can get vertical quickly along the sideline. All in all, this young man is the next up and coming prospect to come out of Taft.
Bradyn Little Bradyn Little 6'0" | 195 lbs | QB Quincy Sr. | 2025 State IL Twitter
Mr. Little is a young man who currently provides glimpses of being able to hit Varsity level throws at the JV level. Specifically with hitting the cover 2 hole long the sideline and being able to add a touch on level 2 throws when his receivers win over the top not giving the defender a chance to undercut the ball. He also provides glimpses of being able to thread the needle in tight windows and having mobility when running the option. Overall, the glimpses he provides in his highlights have me excited to see how he’s able to produce this upcoming fall season.
