Kaden Baker (2023) | 5’9 185 RB | Grand Blanc
Baker is one of the most under-the-radar backs going into the 2022 season considering he played behind 3-star running back Elijah Jackson-Anderson in 2021. Watch the tape! Kaden Baker is built low to the ground and has a natural ability to run the football. In the limited time he saw last season, Baker was able to put together some impressive film from his junior campaign. Grand Blanc is a Division 1 program with a strong strength of schedule that includes multiple Division 1 opponents. Kaden Baker will be the featured back in 2022 and I would look for him and Grand Blanc to make another deep run in the Division 1 playoffs.
Spencer Lyons Spencer Lyons 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Catholic Central | 2023 MI (2023) | 6’2 215 RB | Novi Catholic Central
Lyons is one of the biggest backs in SE Michigan. The 6’2, 215 pound running back will be featured in the backfield for one of the best programs in the state, Novi Catholic Central. Expect Lyons to see a heavy load of touches for the Shamrocks who are a more balanced offense now than in years passed but still have a strong emphasis on running the ball. Lyons certainly looks the part on paper and has the film to match. Look for a breakout season from Spencer Lyons Spencer Lyons 6'2" | 215 lbs | ATH Catholic Central | 2023 MI and another deep run in the Division 1 playoffs for Novi Catholic Central.
Jordan Williams (2023) | 5’11 170 RB | Livonia Clarenceville
Williams is a dynamic back that can play multiple positions on the offensive side of the ball. The 2-way starter for Livonia Clarenceville was able to put together a very productive junior year out of the backfield in Bob Meyer’s Walled Lake Wing T offense. Williams has next level speed and the ability to bust a big play every time he touches the ball. I would expect a big year out of Williams and another solid run in the playoffs for Division 4 Livonia Clarenceville in 2022.
Niko Johnson (2023) | 6’1 160 RB | Sterling Heights
Johnson is the football definition of a “scat back.” The 6’1, 160 pound athlete is exceptionally fast and an elusive ball carrier. Sterling Heights competes at the Division 2 level and competes in a competitive MAC-BLUE conference. Johnson is a dynamic ball carrier who can catch the ball out of the backfield and line up in the slot. Look for Johnson and Sterling Heights football to make a run at the Division 2 playoffs in 2022.
Javon Hawk (2023) | 5’11 185 RB | Chandler Park Academy
Javon Hawk is versatile back that can play multiple positions on a football field. The 5’11, 185 pound athlete played both ways for Chandler Park Academy and was able to put together a very productive junior season. Hawk is a versatile athlete who has the ability to be productive at multiple positions on the field. On film, he is also seen playing Wildcat QB for Chandler Park where he found the end-zone on multiple occasions in the 2021 season. Chandler Park will lean heavily on Hawk as a ball carrier and as a defensive back in the 2022.
