Continue ReadingWe’re seeing it more and more across the peach state. Year after year, young players are starting to emerge and make a name for themselves in their first year of high school ball. We saw plenty of freshmen last year have big seasons, and now a few of them are starting to earn major offers and become nationally knows prospects.
Here are a few 2025 prospects who recently earned major D1 offers…
Peyton Joseph Peyton Joseph 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Peach County | 2025 State GA – Offensive Line – Peach County
The Peach County Trojans are no strangers to pumping out big-time offensive line prospects and Joseph is the next major bully to come through. Already a reliable, powerful, physical prospect as a freshman, Joseph was very impressive last year and appears to have a very promising future. Already around the 6-foot-3 280-pound mark, Joseph looks like an upperclassmen already and really played well at multiple positions. He moves well in run blocking as a guard and does a great job of playing through the whistle. The Middle Georgia standout was excellent in pass protection at the Milton MVP Camp earlier this spring and showed he can handle himself at offensive tackle down the road. He camped at Alabama recently and left with an offer from the Crimson Tide. Once knows as a up and coming prospect, Joseph is now becoming one of the top 2025 offensive line prospects across the South with an excellent offer list so far for his age.

Ethan Barbour Ethan Barbour 6'3" | 215 lbs | TE Alpharetta | 2025 State GA -Alpharetta
One of the top young prospects in the North Fulton area, Barbour is a pass-catching tight end who can also split out and play receiver. He’s a big target already for his age at 6-foot-3 215-pounds and is only going to get better throughout his Alpharetta career. Barbour camped at Georgia recently, and assistant coach Todd Hartley saw all he needed too out of the young Alpharetta star, extending him an offer after the camp. As a prospect, Barbour has big hands and should be a major weapon in the red-zone for the Raiders in the 2022 season. Only a freshman last year, Barbour more than held his own against some really tough 7A competition, showing why schools like Georgia, Maryland, and others have extended offers. There’s a lot to like about his game, and his ability to high-point the football over defenders will make him extremely tough to handle for defenses throughout the 2022 season. As a freshman last fall, Barbour caught 26 passes for 342 yards and 2 touchdowns. As a sophomore this year, expect those numbers to increase, as well as his offer sheet.
Jadon Perlotte Jadon Perlotte 6'4" | 215 lbs | LB Buford | 2025 State GA – EDGE – Buford
The No. 2 linebacker prospect in Georgia and No, 13 overall, Perlotte is bound for a breakout sophomore season for the Wolves in 2022 and continues to see major offers coming his way, adding new recent offers from Florida and Tennessee. Another explosive young defender, Peroltte has plenty of athleticism for his age and has a great frame as well at 6-foot-3 200-pounds. Playing on a loaded roster, Perlotte stood out among the upperclassmen during a Buford spring practice this month. He’s a versatile defender who can line up in a number of different positions right now including linebacker, safety, and on the EDGE. He gets after the passer and showed he can help in coverage as well. He reads the play well, reacts quickly for his age, and knows how to wrap up properly when making a tackle, delivering some pop with it. He plays hard, and it’s easy to see the potential he has over the next few seasons.

Emaree Winston – Calhoun
The mighty Calhoun Yellow Jackets are always loaded with talent and they’ve got another young star on their hands in Winston, a 6-foot-3 230-pound athlete who can make an impact on both sides of the ball. As a young pass catcher, Winston shows good body control, strong hands, and the ability to make a touch reception in tight coverage. He’s also dangerous after the catch and can be tough to handle in the red-zone. He’s a tough, physical blocker in the run game and he should have plenty of opportunities to catch a lot of passes as a sophomore this fall. Winston camped at N.C State earlier this month and left with an offer. Look for his offer list to continue to grow more and more over the next few years.
