The Garden State is filled with talented athletes that are more than capable of playing on Saturday’s.
That being said, scroll down below and check out the top wide receivers you should keep an eye on.
24’ Jeff Neris Jeff Neris 6'2" | 195 lbs | WR Highland | 2024 State NJ , Highland
6’2 195
Mr. Neris had a productive sophomore season. He showed flashes of playmaking ability and made the most of his first significant action at the varsity level. Neris has reliable hands and does a good job catching in traffic. He has great size to withstand hits and has an impressive catch radius. No catch is too difficult for Neris to grab. He finished last season hauling in 11 catches for 183 yards. Last season he was more of short yardage receiver but you should expect to see Neris stretch the field more often this season.
23’, Aldrich Doe Aldrich Doe 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Oakcrest | 2023 State NJ , Oakcrest
6’3 180
Mr. Doe had a very impressive junior season. He is an athletically gifted player that has great size, speed and acceleration. Doe leaves defensive backs in the dust and runs fluid routes. He can line up out wide and in the slot as well. He does a good job taking advantage of the mismatch. Doe has good hands and when the ball is in the air he will most likely come down with the catch. His speed is something serious, he can easily stretch the field and make a big play at any time. In 2021, he caught 22 passes for 453 yards and 5 TD’s. He had over 100 yards or more receiving in 4 out 5 games played. Doe is a favorite heading into this season and expect big time offers to pile in for this kid.
24’ Judan Anthony, Woodrow Wilson
5’11 170
Mr. Anthony is a shifty slot receiver that is dangerous after the catch. He has a knack for getting open and creating separation. Anthony has a quick first step and is often matched up with linebackers. He is the type of athlete that loves press man coverage because he can easily beat defenders off the line. In 2021, he finished the season with 39 catches for 565 yards and 2 TD’s. He will be one the main targets this season.
24’ Terron Loyd, Woodrow Wilson
6’1 175
Mr. Loyd is another athlete from Woodrow Wilson. He adds depth to their receiving core. Loyd mainly plays slot and is a good third option for Wilson. He has sure hands and does not shy away from contact. Loyd always does a good job keeping his feet active. He does really well at providing additional run support on the edge. He loves to block and understands his role. Loyd will be more a factor in the passing game this season but he is still an important piece to their offense.
24’ Shawn Corchado, Freehold Township
6’2 190
Mr. Corchado is a good athlete with good size and quickness. He does well at beating press man coverage and stacking defensive backs. Corchado tracks the ball well over his shoulder and is a legit deep threat. He is willing to go up and attack the ball at its highest point as well. Corchado is still getting used to the speed at the varsity level. He finished his sophomore year with 11 catches for 183 yards and a score. Expect Corchado to be the focal point of this offense moving forward. College coaches will know his name sooner than later.
