USC Trojan Classic Preview

On Saturday, some of the state’s top teams will gather for the Trojan Classic passing league tournament.

The field includes: Los Alamitos, Mater Dei, Santa Margarita, Calabasas, Chaminade, Inglewood, Lincoln, Mater Dei Catholic of San Diego, Oaks Christian, Rancho Cucamonga, Serra and Sierra Canyon.

Here is a look at some of the teams competing.

Los Alamitos

Los Alamitos features USC commits Malachi Nelson Malachi Nelson 6'3" | QB Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA and Makai Lemon Makai Lemon 6'0" | ATH Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA . The Griffins also have some defensive back transfers Jeremiah Ingram (Pacifica) and Marcus Parks (La Habra). Mater Dei

The Monarchs are once again one of the top teams in the nation. Elijah Brown Elijah Brown 6'2" | QB Mater Dei | 2024 State CA is one of the top class of 2024 quarterbacks in the nation. Tight end Spencer Shannon Spencer Shannon 6'7" | TE Mater Dei | 2023 State CA , a recent Texas commit, has been a big target on the 7on7 circuit this offseason.
