Strong compact frame at 5’9” 185 lbs. Possesses a good all around skillset with a combination of speed, lateral quickness, and short area burst. He attacks the LOS firing out of his stance with a quick first step and clean footwork. He does a good job making the first guy miss then getting square up the field. Carries the ball with good balance, body control, and spatial awareness to avoid defenders in space. Shows good ability and willingness in pass protection. He’s smart and aware enough to recognize and adjust to the blitz while stepping up to engage/initiate contact. Has had a strong off season and picked up his first offer from Portland State in late April. Will be one to watch at Lakes as a senior.

Humphrey possesses a versatile skillset that could transition well to either side of the ball at the college level. At 5’11” 210 lbs. he’s a strong and powerful downhill runner. Accelerates quickly out of his stance allowing him to run through first contact and break tackles with good balance, leverage, and leg drive, often lowering his shoulder and delivering contact. Size and strength make him effective between the tackles but also flashes the speed to get to the perimeter and turn his shoulders to get up the field. Extremely tough to tackle once he gains forward momentum, especially at the second level. Ran for over 1,100 yards and 14 touchdowns as a junior and was voted first team all-league at both RB and DE. First offered by Portland State in May but his stock is on the rise and has the upside/potential to add more as a senior.

A lot to like about Matheney’s skillset and potential at the college level. He’s a dynamic athlete with a well-built frame and strong lower half at 6’0” 205 lbs. He’s an instinctual runner with a good combination of speed and power. Flashes plus lateral agility and short area acceleration through the first and second level with the long speed to extend gains and cap off long runs in the endzone. Shows excellent field vision and anticipation to read his blocks, see open running lanes, and attack them without hesitation. Like his ability to make quick sudden cuts around defenders and accelerate out. Strong at the contact point using good leverage and contact balance to break tackles at all three levels. First offered by Portland State in April prior to attending the Idaho camp, where he picked up an offer and committed shortly after.

Hopoi is a quick twitch athlete with good feet, change of direction, and burst to be elusive and breakaway from defenders in space. Shows plus start/stop speed to make quick explosive cuts at all three levels. Good vision and feel for the game to see cut back lanes and create angles for himself as a ball carrier. Can quickly get up to top speed and flashes a strong and sustained second gear. Slippery in the open field and effectively uses the stiff arm to break tackles. Natural pass catcher out of the backfield that can create separation as a route runner and adjust to ball flight in the air. Picked up his first offer from Linfield in June and will be a big part of the explosive Bothell offense as a senior.
