Ranking slots are earned, but they are not set in stone. Players can elevate their positioning by having outstanding performances on the field and strengthening their stock value as sought-after recruits.
This article will look at five wide receivers from the incoming senior class who have made significant jumps within the rankings.
Barnes is an outstanding receiver with a very impressive catch radius who has jumped from 13th to fifth. He is a powerful runner with formidable strength, making him a problematic ball carrier to bring down. His overall athletic skillset and on-field production have landed on the radars of several Division I programs. The 6-foot-2 Barnes has received offers from Nevada, Bowling Green, Wyoming, and Air Force.
Lettis is a phenomenal athlete who has quietly solidified his place among the top-ranked receivers in the state. His jump from eighth to sixth comes on the heels of his verbal commitment to Southern Utah. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 185lbs, his size and 4.5s 40-yard dash speed make him an ideal receiver for any scheme. Lettis is the type of player who clocks in and gives his all on every rep, solidifying his place among the top 10 in the state.

Dooley is another player who stood out early in his high school career and has continued to shine. He is a shifty receiver with excellent speed and route running abilities. Dooley has garnered some interest from college programs while turning heads at club tournaments and camps, which has helped him rise from ninth to seventh in the positions rankings.

Jenkins is an underrated player who has landed in the top 10, moving from 14th to ninth on the list. Jenkins is a big-body receiver who can fluidly run every route in the tree. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 200lbs, Jenkins has the size, speed, and strength to be a primary target for any scheme.
Okuno has bided his time on the watchlist but enters his senior year as a top 20 receiver with a high ceiling. He is a shifty slot receiver with excellent speed and sharp route running skills. His ability to create separation out of his breaks is extremely impressive, which pairs perfectly with his sure-handedness. Okuno is starting to garner some attention as a potential recruit, making this season a significant year for him.
