There are numerous towns and cities across the talent-rich state including the larger metropolitan areas of Norfolk, Richmond, Northern Virginia, Roanoke, and more. Here is the Pre-Season First Team Virginia 4A All State Offense.
Derricott was listed as an Honorable Mention athlete last season. He completed 147 passes out of 208 attempts for a 71% Completion Rating, threw for 2,301 Passing Yards, averaged 16 Yards Per Completion, and had 22 Passing Touchdowns. He also carried the ball 55 times for 450 yards, had 4 Rushing Touchdowns, and 27 Total Touchdowns to lead Varina to the 4A State Title.
Hillman was named 2nd Team All Tidewater, was a finalist for the 757 Golden Arm Award, won Region 4A Offensive Player of the Year, named 4A 1st Team All Region, Eastern District 1st Team All Purpose , Eastern District 2nd Team QB, and Eastern District 2nd Team as a Punter. He was responsible for 2400 All Purpose Yards, 1,149 Rushing Yards 1,022 Passing Yards, and 31 Total Touchdowns. Hillman currently received an offer from Norfolk State.
Shipe is the 2nd ranked Running Back in the state for the class of 2024. He won 2nd Team All District honors by rushing for 1,079 yards, averaging 5.9 Yards Per Carry, and scored 9 Touchdowns that led Broad Run to an appearance in the 4A State Championship game before losing to Varina.
Leon Clark | 5’10” 200 | Running Back | Churchland High School
Clark was named All State and All Conference as an offensive and defensive player last season, while competing in the VISAA. He now brings his talents to a Churchland’s program and makes them even more of an explosive offense. He has offers from Texas A and M, Virginia Tech, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, and Buffalo.
Chanz Wiggins Chanz Wiggins 6'3" | 190 lbs | WR King George | 2024 State VA | 6’3” 190 lbs | Wide Receiver | King George High School
Wiggins is the 5th overall player and 2nd ranked Wide Receiver in the state for the Class of 2024. He was named 1st Team All District Wide Receiver and Punt Returner, and also earned 2nd Team All District Defensive Back last year. Wiggins tenaciousness on the field is also matched in the classroom, as he has a 4.1 GPA. He holds multiple offers from the likes of Pitt, Penn Stare, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia Tech.
Mekhai White | 6’2” 180 lbs | Wide Receiver | King George High School
White is a First Team All Area and 2nd Team All Region Wide Receiver selection. He and Wiggins together gives King George on of the best receiving corps in the state. He holds 44 offers from the likes of Georgia, Tennessee, Louisville, Indiana, Nebraska, Mizzou, Mississippi St, Jackson St, Alabama St, FAMU, Penn St, Pitt , and WestVirginia.
Bryce Yates | 6′ 170 lbs | Wide Receiver | Matoaca High School
Yates finished his 9th grade campaign as one of the top players in the Class of 2025. He was named Adidas Freshmen All American and 3rd Team All Region as a Wide Receiver. Matoaca finished 9-2 and averaged 33 points per game before being disappointed in the 1st round of the playoffs by Patrick Henry. Look for Yates and crew to come back with a vengeance this season.
Jordan Edwards Jordan Edwards 5'8" | 160 lbs | WR Varina | 2024 State VA | 5’8” 160 lbs | Wide Receiver | Varina High School
Edwards is another athlete to make the First Team All State Team from the defending 4A State Champions. He is a super shift play maker who is dangerous in open space and will be a threat for the Blue Devils this season. The speedy receiver presently holds an offer from Marshall.
Alex Birchmeier Alex Birchmeier 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Broad Run | 2023 State VA | 6’5” 275 lbs | Offensive Line | Broad Run High School (VA)
Birchmeier is the number one overall rated player and lineman in the state of Virginia for the Class of 2023. The Penn State commit was named to our Pre-Season First Team All DMV for this season, First Team All Metro, First Team All Conference, and First Team All Region Offensive Line
Anthony Donkoh Anthony Donkoh 6'5" | 310 lbs | OL Lightridge | 2023 State VA | 6’5” 310 lbs | Offensive Line | Lightridge High School (VA)
Donkoh , who is another Penn State commit, made our Pre-Season Second Team All DMV Offense Team this season, Second Team All District and Second Team All Conference Offensive Line. He also was named First Team All District and First Team All Conference Defensive Line.
Brayden Walker Brayden Walker 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Eastern View | 2023 State VA | 6’2” 285 lbs | Offensive Line | Eastern View High School (VA)
Walker was named Honorable Mention to our Pre-Season All DMV Offensive Team season, and was also Second Team All Region as a Defensive Lineman last year. The Elon commit, anchors an offensive line that went 4-5 last season and just missed the playoffs. He and the Cyclones will be hungry this season.
Fletcher Westphal Fletcher Westphal 6'8" | 325 lbs | OL Tuscarora | 2024 State VA | 6’8” 320 lbs | Offensive Line | Tuscarora High School
Westphal is The 4th ranked overall prospect and top ranked lineman in the state of Virginia for the Class of 2024. The 6’8” linemen is on the radar of almost every college coach, and has offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Auburn, Michigan, Indiana, San Diego State, Washington, Georgia, Miami, and Virginia Tech are some.
Mason Wade Mason Wade 6'5" | 285 lbs | OL Loudoun Valley | 2024 State VA | 6’5” 285 lbs | Offensive Line | Loudoun Valley High School
Wade rounds out one of the more impressive Pre-Season All State lines that we covered thus far. He recently won the Offensive Line MVP at the Unrivaled Camp earlier this year and led a Vikings offensive unit that averaged 24 points per game. He has offers from Maryland, Virginia Tech, William and Mary, Toledo, and Marshall.
