Continue ReadingMany of the top quarterbacks in the nation gathered at Redondo Union High School in Los Angeles, California this week to compete at the prestigious Elite 11 finals.
The event lasted three days and prestigious college quarterbacks like Bryce Young and CJ Stroud were in attendance.
Here were the top quarterback performers according to multiple reports:
Jackson Arnold Jackson Arnold 6'1" | 195 lbs | QB Denton Guyer | 2023 State TX , Guyer, Texas, Oklahoma commit
Arnold earned MVP honors from the Elite 11 officials which takes into account the quarterbacks’ performances at prior Elite 11 events. He has a great arm who can fire it in there from multiple arm angles. He is a very good athlete who reads defenses well and could be a RPO threat at the next level. Arnold is committed to Oklahoma.

Dante Moore Dante Moore 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Detroit King | 2023 State MI , King, Michigan, Uncommitted
Greg Biggins of 247Sports named Moore the “Alpha Dog” of the event and other reporters gave Moore glowing reviews. He was great during the 7on7 portion on Thursday and he has always been able to read zone coverages well. He isn’t close to his physical ceiling yet and many scouts think he will develop more when he gets on a college campus. Some people expect him to go to Oregon but Michigan, Notre Dame and Texas A&M are still possibilities.

Malachi Nelson Malachi Nelson 6'3" | 195 lbs | QB Los Alamitos | 2023 State CA , Los Alamitos, California, USC commit
Nelson was the best of the California quarterbacks and is so smooth in the pocket. He makes deep throws look effortless and receivers love catching balls from him. There was a lot of USC media at the event and they are all excited about Nelson coming there and leading the Trojans into the Big 10.

Christopher Vizzina Christopher Vizzina 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Briarwood Christian | 2023 State AL , Briarwood Christian, Alabama, Clemson commit
Vizzina has one of the best arms in the nation and the ball jumps out of his hand. He is mechanically sound and according to Biggins, his timing on his throws during 7on7 was great. He has the college body at 6-foot-4 and around 210 pounds and is a solid athlete.

Austin Novosad Austin Novosad 6'4" | 195 lbs | QB Dripping Springs | 2023 State TX , Dripping Springs, Texas, Baylor commit
According to reports he was great in the first two days but wasn’t as strong as some of the other top quarterbacks during 7on7. He has already added some muscle and has the frame to add even more before going to college. He has a nice release and just looks comfortable at the position.

JJ Kohl JJ Kohl 6'6" | 225 lbs | QB Ankeny | 2023 State IA , Ankeny, Iowa, Iowa State commit
Biggins said that Kohl threw the most accurate deep balls of anyone at the event. He is more of a pocket passer but can use his legs to extend plays. Iowa State may have a multi year starter in Kohl.
JJ Kohl was absolutely on 🔥 during the #Elite11 last night. He’s in contention to be the top QB overall. #IowaState #Cyclones pic.twitter.com/143ZhU7ZaI

Avery Johnson Avery Johnson 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Maize | 2023 State KS , Maize, Kansas, Uncommitted
He is a dual threat guy who also plays basketball, but he impressed scouts at the event with his ability as a pure passer. His delivery is smooth and he has the frame to add some more weight. Johnson will announce where he will commit on Tuesday, July 5 and experts believe that Kansas State is the favorite.
Jaden Rashada Jaden Rashada 6'4" | 185 lbs | QB Pittsburg | 2023 State CA , Pittsburg, California, Miami commit
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind for Rashada with visits and his commitment to Miami. He reportedly did very well during 7on7 and is a natural leader. Rashada told Biggins that the stress of the past few weeks had him uncomfortable and he felt he didn’t perform his best at the event. He has always been one of the best arm talents in the class and that has not changed.

Zane Flores Zane Flores 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB Gretna | 2023 State NE , Gretna, Nebraska, Oklahoma State commit
He has a college level body at 6-foot-3 and close to 200 pounds. Biggins said that he is one of those quarterbacks who does just about everything well. The ball jumps out of his hand and he throws well off-platform.

Brock Glenn Brock Glenn 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Lausanne | 2023 State TN , Lausanne, Tennessee, Uncommitted
Glenn is a big guy who has the tools and a lot of upside. He has a great arm but sometimes makes poor decisions with the ball. He performed well at the event and it seems like the game is slowing down a bit for him. Auburn is the favorite to land Glenn but TCU, Florida State and LSU are still in the mix.
