This stellar group of four defensive backs and one linebacker will look to lead the Eagles to their first playoff berth since 2017.
DB Isaiah Hagan – 6’0″ 180 — @Zay22x
Junior Stats: 34 tackles, 7 pass breakups, 3 interceptions, one forced fumble
With smooth hips, top-notch ball skills, and elite closing speed, Hagan checks all the boxes you want in a cornerback. You can put him on an island and feel comfortable that he’s going to make a big play. I’m not sure if they call him ‘Hagan Island’ in Killeen, but the kid can really play.

WR Zy’Aire King – 6’2″ 200 — @ZyaireKingg
King isn’t a speedburner who is going to take the top off a defense – but what he is, is a physical X receiver who will consistently beat man coverage and come up with big receptions. He’s tough to bring down in the open field, will run you over if you try to arm tackle him, and most impressively, is a red zone matchup problem. His stock will rise this season.
CB Deandre Reed – 5’9″ 170 — @DeandreReed24
Reed may be a bit undersized, but he plays the game fast and with a reckless abandon that is noteworthy. Has very nice speed to chase down ballcarriers and impressive hops to high point footballs in coverage. Competed at the Tarleton football camp this summer.

CB Jha’Mauri Erlius – 5’9″ 160 — @Jhamauriii
With a verified 4.39 time in the 40, Erlius is the type of athlete you want on your football team. Like Reed, isn’t the biggest cornerback, but has a motor that is always at 100%. He’s a willing tackler in the run game and a hard-hitter for a guy who only weighs 160 pounds. I don’t see any film as a return man, but with his speed, he could have some real potential as a return specialist.

LB Steve Albert – 6’3″ 215 — @SteveFrom334
Junior Stats: 81 tackles, 12 TFL, 3 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles, 2 QB hurries, 1 interception
Albert makes plays all over the field for the Eagles. Impressive sideline-to-sideline speed and hard-hitting are signatures of his game. Does a good job of getting through traffic, getting downhill, and putting pressure on quarterbacks. He’s the type of ‘backer you want in your position room.
