This latest update welcomed in over 10 prospects, increasing the rankings to 285 spots. Several of these newcomers made their debuts inside the Top 200, with a few cracking the Top 150. These are five newcomers hailing from state title contenders that have yet to be highlighted during this offseason.
DeAndre Beasley DeAndre Beasley 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Bishop Miege | 2023 State KS – Bishop Miege, 5’11”, 165, DB
Beasley is not only a newcomer in the rankings, but he will also be a newcomer in the highly competitive Eastern Kansas League this fall. Beasley is crossing state lines to attend Bishop Miege for his senior campaign after an impressive career at Lee Summit North High School. The Northern Iowa commit is sure to make an immediate impact in the Stags’ secondary. He cracks the Top 50 at No. 48 and is the 4th ranked defensive back in the class.
Jake Proctor Jake Proctor 6'4" | 175 lbs | WR Hesston | 2023 State KS – Hesston, 6’4”, 175, WR
The ’23 rankings has some notable names atop of the wide receiver group. But one receiver that hasn’t been talked about enough ahead of the ’22 campaign is Jake Proctor Jake Proctor 6'4" | 175 lbs | WR Hesston | 2023 State KS out of Hesston. The 6-foot-4 wideout was a breakout player for the Swathers as a junior, hauling in 42 catches for 721 yards and nine touchdowns. Proctor enters the rankings as the 12th ranked receiver in the class and the 116th ranked prospect overall.
Hayes Miller Hayes Miller 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Mill Valley | 2023 State KS – Mill Valley, 6’0”, 185, WR
Miller is the second newcomer in this update to transfer to the Sunflower State for his final high school season. After being a standout athlete at Palmyra High School, Miller is heading to Mill Valley to join the defending state champions. The Jaguars graduated three key pass catchers this past spring, but their offense shouldn’t skip a beat with the playmaking ability Miller brings to the table. He debuts just outside the Top 150 at No. 158 and is the 18th ranked wideout in the class.
Leshaon Davis Leshaon Davis 6'2" | 250 lbs | DL Derby | 2023 State KS – Derby, 6’2”, 250, DL
With Andon Carpenter and Quentin Dorsey both moving on to the next level, the Panthers will have a few new faces along their defensive line this year. They’ll need someone to step up as their second pass rusher next to Samuel Same Samuel Same 6'5" | 215 lbs | DL Derby | 2023 State KS . Leshaon Davis Leshaon Davis 6'2" | 250 lbs | DL Derby | 2023 State KS is looking to fill that void for them. The 164th ranked prospect in the class possesses the quickness and physicality necessary to be a force in the trenches. He’s looked impressive this summer, and is poised for a breakout year.
Jaydon Brittingham Jaydon Brittingham 6'5" | 240 lbs | ATH Lawrence | 2023 State KS – Lawrence, 6’5”, 240, ATH
Closing out this group of newcomers is an overlooked two-way prospect that should surprise folks this season. There is an abundance of talented athletes in this senior class, and Jaydon Brittingham Jaydon Brittingham 6'5" | 240 lbs | ATH Lawrence | 2023 State KS is one of the latest to make his debut in the rankings. He checks in as the 213th ranked prospect overall, but has the potential to be moved up in the midseason rankings update. Brittingham’s size paired with his play at tight end and defensive end is sure to gain the attention of multiple recruiters this fall.
