JaQuize Buycks 6’3 260 DT
Buycks has recently committed to the University of Liberty and will take his talents to an upcoming program that’s been digging heavy in the state’s recruiting scene. Buyck’s burst/ first step is uncanny for an interior lineman. His ability to snap off the ball and get a jump on opposing linemen gives him an advantage when collapsing pockets and making plays in the backfield. He’s adept at jumping the gap and tracking down speedy ball carriers with solid closing speed. In addition to his quickness, Buycks shows nuance with his hand movement and uses that to keep separation from his opponent. As an effective pass rusher, he generates pressure and QB hits while maintaining his aggressiveness and physicality when being a playmaker in the run game. Has the potential to develop into a starter at the next level.
COMMITMENT 🚨@JaQuizeBuycks will play ball at @LibertyFootball! Congrats Quize! @PrepRedzone https://t.co/jlFvhNmQT0

Vysen Lang Vysen Lang 6'4" | 335 lbs | OL Pike Road | 2023 State AL 6’5 315 LT Pike Road
Lang is an SEC caliber lineman, and his final 6 reflects that. With Georgia, Aubrun, Tennessee, Arkansas, LSU, and Texas contending for his services, Lang is easily in the upper echelon of left tackles. His prototypical size, footwork, skill, and polish have set him apart and amongst the crowd. Lang shows great hand placement when blocking and always seems to be in control of the engagement against opposing linemen. In the passing game, he shows a smooth kick step and agility when moving laterally to counter speed rushers or be effective in a zone blocking scheme. He’s patient and allows rushers to make their move and uses the inside strike well to keep them in front. It’ll be exciting to see who gets the big fella in next upcoming weeks.

Josh Palmer Josh Palmer 6'5" | 215 lbs | TE Autauga | 2023 State AL TE 6’5 215 Montgomery Catholic 2023
Palmer has earned offers from the University of Chattanooga, Arkansas State, and Campbell University this week. There are a plethora of reasons why D1 schools are asking for his services. He has receiver-like ball tracking skills and can adjust to the ball better than some 4-star wideouts. Does an excellent job of using his length and athleticism to high-point the ball. Palmer also has some Tony Toe Tap in his blood and can work the sideline with the best of them. Shows solid straight line speed and acceleration when in the open field, and is solid at getting yards after the catch. As a dynamic playmaker with size and skill at an emerging position look for Palmer to continue to stack up offers.
Blessed to receive an offer from @GoMocsFB @ChadSimmons_ @SWiltfong247 @Rivals @247recruiting @HankSouth247 @kirkjuice32 @MCPKnightsFB @BrianMohr @JosephAHastings @KeithNiebuhr @leytonteal88 @THERayRudolph_ @Jeff_XOS pic.twitter.com/kioaawOWfS

Demario Hicks 6’1 225 OLB Center Point 2023
Hicks is a run-stopping OLB whose grit and strength have earned him an offer from Faulkner University. He does an excellent job setting the edge and consistently containing perimeter runs. Hicks is more than willing to fill gaps, take on blockers, and make hits on ball carriers. Also, he shows great strength when making tackles on ball carriers and not allowing yards after contact. Hicks is also blitzing skill when he can get a head of steam and put pressure on the QB or run down plays in the backfield.
Austin Kerchner Austin Kerchner 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB George W. Long | 2023 State AL 6’2 215 OLB/DE Long High 2023
Kerchner is a high-motor pass rusher that’s going to compensate for his lack of size with motor, effort, and relentless pursuit of the ball. Doesn’t excel with any physical attribute but is solid all around the board with burst, speed, and strength. Can beat slower tackles to the spot or get physical at the point of attack and get to the ball. Shows he can read his keys and react to what’s happening in front of him- giving himself extra time to position himself to make plays in the run game. Does a great job with fundamental tackling. Takes good angles, pursues the ball, wraps up, and drives through ball carriers.
