Continue ReadingOur next Preview is the 2022 Massachusetts King Phillip Regional H.S. “Warriors”. A public school program located in Massachusetts and defined by toughness and grit. Warriors are a team that battles year in and year out with any opponent on their schedule. They are known to schedule their Gridiron Teams against top ranked programs on a yearly basis. The team is coached by Head Coach Brian Lee. “Coach Lee has made huge strides in rebuilding the KP program since his first year in 2005 to back to back State Championships in 2016 & 2017.
In 2022: The Warriors look to return to their MIAA State Tournament Playoffs as they did last year. The team returns a solid group of seniors who saw action as juniors last year and have a strong desire to compete for a State championship.
2021 Season Results: In 2021, the Warriors had a terrific season and did well against a very tough schedule. There are some tough losses to graduation, but a solid group returns. But it won’t be an easy task with another tough schedule ahead in 2022. Make no mistake, Coach Lee will have this year’s Warrior team ready for battle as he always does.

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
“Sesay is a name many know within Massachusetts. He has easily proven his ability to play at the next level. He has quick feet, flexibility, using his hands well, strength, quickness, toughness, meanness, and nastiness. His talents have grabbed attention from d1 schools which has translated to offers from Brown and Eastern Michigan. He is also getting interest from Boston College, Umaine, Uconn, UNH, Columbia, and Dartmouth. At 6’6” he has the tools to make an impact at the next level.
Highlights
Has great awareness. He also has great instincts, dissects plays well, and has the physical ability to get there to make the play. Aggressive solid tackler that will make the ball carrier feel impact. His first step quickness is visible along with mental toughness to play LB at the next level. He has received support through the admissions process at Bowdoin College, Middlebury College, Wesleyan College, and Bates College. A solid linebacker who appears to enjoy the game.
Highlights
Kearney is a ball player. He has superior aggression and it pops on film. His awareness and ability to react and explode to ball carrier is special. He plays fast and mean with a strong desire to do whatever it takes to win. Tackles well with a purpose. The schools showing interest have been Merimack, Bryant, Stonehill, Saint Anselm, Assumption, Endicott, Ithaca. A strong Sr season will likely result in additional opportunities.
Highlights
When viewing Brewster he brings a reminder of play from former New England Patroit WR Julian Edelman. He is scrappy and quick. His rout are crisp and he knows how to get separation from defenders. His athleticism stands out with great hands and speed. He will likely be a good fit into the next level as a slot back. A three year starter at varsity and we can easily see why. Currently holds opportunities to play at WPI, Endicott, Western New England. His senior season will likely result in additional schools coming on board.
