From a point differential perspective, the Spartans were dominant. At home, on the road, conference or non-conference, the Spartans were dominant. Against sub-par or elite competition, the Spartans were dominant. A 7-0 loss to Central Valley ended up being the lone blemish of the year, a blemish that highlights how thin the margin is between champions and runner-ups. Take away the Championship heartbreak, the Spartans flattened opponents week after week, dominating quality programs like Daniel Boone, Fleetwood, and of course, putting an end to the massive Southern Columbia winning streak spanning multiple seasons. That feat alone should be celebrated, yet the program wanted nothing more than to become 3A champions. This team will be remembered nonetheless, either for its dominant senior class, its performances from top-overall prospect Jven Williams, or their undefeated record through a whopping 15 games.
Departing prospects: Aiden Mack, Nevin Carter, Tommy Grabowski, Jamhi Jackson, Rory Filoon, Preston Aikman, Jack Miller
There isn’t much to say that hasn’t already been said about the 5-star Penn State recruit. Wyomissing senior Jven Williams Jven Williams 6’4″ | 290 lbs | OL Wyomissing Junior-Senior | 2023 State PA will enter the 2022 season as the highest-ranked prospect in the state, hardly showing a fault or flaw in his game. We expect the same dominant showing this Fall, Williams setting the standard for elite trench play in Pennsylvania.
Highlights
Pacen Ziegler Pacen Ziegler 6’4″ | 275 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2023 State PA lists as the second top-150 senior on our rankings after Jven Williams Jven Williams 6’4″ | 290 lbs | OL Wyomissing Junior-Senior | 2023 State PA . Strictly from a recruiting perspective, Ziegler is somewhat underrated. Happy to see Davidson pull the offer trigger, acting as Ziegler’s first Division 1 opportunity, a number that I believe is too low. Ziegler grades as a high to mid-level FCS player, expect FCS programs investing in Pennsylvania to check in. Unfair to have Zeigler, Williams, and Brewer along the same offensive line.
Drew Eisenhower Drew Eisenhower 5’10” | 185 lbs | ATH Wyomissing | 2023 State PA ‘s future role at Wyomissing excites me. The young man has provided quality reps at running back and defensive back in the past, yet I could see Eisenhower’s skillset be utilized almost anywhere on the field. The coaching staff have the luxury of slotting this kid at a variety of alignments or positions. Despite relatively slow recruitment, I could see Eisenhower reach a PSAC DII ceiling with a stellar senior campaign that we know he is capable of.

Kickers need love too. How about some love for one of the best kickers Berks County has ever seen. 72 for 75 when attempting point-afters, the best programs in Pennsylvania value special teams. Levering proved to be a vital asset and contributed 84 total points along the 15-game winning streak the Spartans were on last Fall. I expect nothing different out of this kid.

Two Spartans rank inside the top 100 amongst the class of 2024. Them being Caleb Brewer Caleb Brewer 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2024 State PA and Collin Niedrowski Collin Niedrowski 6’0″ | 175 lbs | LB Wyomissing Area | 2024 State PA . Both Brewer and Niedrowski project to climb into the top 50 with continued program success.
Caleb Brewer Caleb Brewer 6’5″ | 285 lbs | OL Wyomissing | 2024 State PA might be the most intriguing Spartan on this list. Brewer earned a D1 grade out of me based on his junior tape alone. Throw in his stellar camp season and testing numbers and you’ve got a resume that screams FBS talent. Whether or not he reaches that status isn’t important. I am more intrigued to find out what his on-field ceiling is after yet another productive offseason. The development has been great to witness from afar. If the Spartans want to reach the pinnacle of success, Brewer will have to max out his potential on the field.
I expect Niedrowski to be one of the better producers on the team from a statistical perspective. I am not sure of his role or rep splits, yet I imagine Niedrowski will continue to tote the rock behind this ridiculous offensive line, while also making his presence felt at middle linebacker. A true sleeper who has an FCS floor in my opinion.
I see Niedrowski and Brewer’s ranks and can’t help but feel like Ryker Jones Ryker Jones 6’0″ | 195 lbs | LB Wyomissing Area | 2024 State PA might be too low. Jones has also had a successful offseason and looks to be in prime physical shape this summer. He and Niedrowski carry similar builds and skillsets. After the season plays out, you could see Jones leap both Brewer and Niedrowski on our rankings. Wyomissing will have plenty of versatility at its disposal this Fall. Can’t wait to see how this versatility will be utilized.
