Risers:
Bey was listed as a rankings riser last update and continues to climb up the board with an impressive off season. Brought his versatile skillset to Bishop Amat for his junior season where he could effectively play multiple positions on either side of the ball. As a ball carrier, he’s an aggressive runner that can use his large frame to get down hill and break through contact. He’s got a good mix of power and speed flashing the ability to cut around defenders and transition to second gear breaking away for extended gains. He’s a well-rounded back that can block and shows natural pass catching ability out of the back field or lined up in the slot. Tough to project where he’ll play at the college level but he’s a developing national recruit that holds eight current offers including Florida State, Louisville, Colorado, and Arizona.
McMillan possesses a strong and well-built frame at 6’1” 210 lbs. He attacks the LOS quickly to get square up the field and immediately build downhill momentum. He shows good burst through the first level carrying the ball good leverage and pad level. He’s a tough tackle given his strength, contact balance, and leg drive especially as he gains speed into the secondary. Flashes plus field vision and anticipation to see angles and create open running lanes reading his blocks as the play is developing. Also a very strong and capable LB that could transition well to either side of the ball at the college level. Currently holds four offers from Arizona, Colorado, Colorado State, and Utah State but is still under recruited given his potential and room for development.
Joyner’s a quick hitting and explosive athlete capable of scoring every time he touches the ball. He shows top tier fluidity and open field speed in addition to his lateral agility and acceleration out of his cuts. Get him in space he’s tough to catch. Love his elusiveness in the open field to weave in and out of defenders using his suddenness and short area quickness to change directions and explode out of his cuts. Can be an instant game changer lining up anywhere on the field given his natural playmaking ability. Recruitment is still in the early stages with four offers coming in this off season first from Arizona then followed up by Oregon State, UNLV, and San Diego State. Expect him to keep rising up the rankings and have a breakout junior season.
Newcomers:
Jones transferred from Centennial where he flashed good potential and natural athleticism for a big, strong, and powerful 6’2” 220 lb. back. He’s a violent ball carrier between the tackles that can pick up tough yardage in short situations but also shows some speed to the outside getting to the perimeter and squaring up his shoulders. He’s got a good ability to break tackles and absorb hits while maintaining his forward lean and leg drive through contact. Not a burner but he’s a strider that shows some deceptive speed once in space and can accelerate. Another guy with a great frame and versatile skillset to play either side of the ball. Hasn’t seen a ton of opportunities thus far in his career but possesses an extremely high ceiling as he’s able to develop and put it on film. Offered by Maryland, UNLV, and Grambling state so far.
A game breaking athlete with exceptional speed and fluidity with the ball in his hands. He fires out of his stance pressing the line quickly with a strong and controlled burst after the exchange. He’s got natural instincts as a ball carrier to see open running lanes and attack them with speed. He shows great change of direction and acceleration out of his cuts in all areas of the field but once he gets in space his elusiveness is special. Flashes excellent suddenness and start/stop speed to make quick explosive cuts around defenders while using their momentum against them. He’s a physical runner that’s not afraid of contact and will lower his shoulder to initiate contact and pick up tough yardage. First offered by Arizona in late January but expect that to change as he’s able to showcase his skillset and speed.
