We are going to look at some of the prospects that have received letters in the mail today. It was a big day for many prospects. Not only did fall practice officially begin but official offers were received today. No more stalling; now we are going to look at a few prospects.
Romelo Bell-Defensive Line-Pulaski Academy-6’3” 225-Pounds
The talented defensive prospect has official scholarship offers from both Army, Navy, and North Alabama today. He is a prospect that can play the defensive line or move back to the linebacker spot and rush the passer from there. Bell is a prospect that uses his versatility and speed well and will be an impact player on Saturdays in the future. He is a player that can disrupt the run and the pass from either the edge rusher or linebacker positions. One school is going to be very happy they sign him.
Miguel Graham-Defensive Back-Bryant-6’2” 170-Pounds
The Bryant Hornets’ defense is one of the state’s best going into the season. Graham is a physical defensive back that does an impressive job of playing the ball in the air. He has been impressive all offseason with his camp performances. Central Arkansas offered a scholarship and Miguel Graham has placed his commitment with the Bears. Graham has the potential to have another strong season for the Hornets as he looks to close his high school career.
Malachi Henry-Wide Receiver-Van Buren-6’1” 180-Pounds
One of the most productive wide receivers in the state of Arkansas received official offers from several programs today. Henry is a threat to score from anywhere on the field. Last season, he racked up 1,150 yards and 14 touchdowns and is looking to improve upon those numbers this season. Henry received official scholarship offers from Central Arkansas and Murray State today. I expect Henry to earn more scholarship offers this season. He has the potential to light up opposing defenses on Saturdays in the future.
Josh Ficklin-Running Back-Bentonville-5’10” 200-Pounds
The two-time all-state running back received several official scholarship offers to kick off his week. Ficklin received scholarship offers from Illinois State, Southeast Missouri State, and Army. Ficklin has had two tremendous seasons in a row, and I expect him to finish his senior year in strong fashion. He is a running back that can run it between the tackles or cut it to the outside. I expect Ficklin to have a big senior season for the Tigers this season.
DaMari Smith-Wide Receiver-Fort Smith Northside-6’0” 160-Pounds
Closing out this article, we take a look Fort Smith Northside’s DaMari Smith. Smith has received scholarship offers from both Texas-San Antonio and Tulsa. Smith has terrific speed, and he can take a small gain and turn it into an explosive one in the blink of an eye. Smith has committed to the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa. The 2022 season has the potential to be a big one for Smith. Watch out for Smith this season, he is capable of putting up some big numbers this season.
