Greenville Christian School has seen that work out for them in football and basketball. Here are a few transfers I think may help some teams out this year.
Quincy Phillips Quincy Phillips 5'8" | 180 lbs | ATH Brandon | 2025 State MS , Jr., 5-10 180, RB/WR, Brandon, 2025
Quincy was at MRA last year and he was starting as a freshman. This year he is headed to Brandon to play for the Bulldogs. Last year Brandon came up shy at the state championship. They struck first in the game. At some points of the game it seemed they would come out on top. They just didn’t have enough to get it done. I think adding a player like Quincy on offense is going to be very important for their team. He adds explosiveness to an offense that is already explosive. This should be interesting to follow all season.
DK Jenkins DK Jenkins 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH St. Martin | 2023 State MS , 5-10 170, ATH, St. Martin, 2023
DK is a phenomenal athlete. This kid is super talented and knows how to score. Last year he was running all over the place in Mendenhall. He is a coach’s kid. His dad just got a new job in St. Martin and DK is headed to the coast. St. Martin has a nice set of receivers and DK knows how to get them the ball. DK also knows how to get it done with his legs. That is what we all want to see the brother do. Another thing DK adds to your team is pizazz, charisma and confidence. He is a trash talker that has a lot of sportsmanship. He can pick a team up and have them ready to go to war. I’m very excited to see what he does in South, MS this year.
Denym Mitchell, 6-0 170, RB/DB, Madison Central, 2024
Denym has a lot of spunk in his gene. I write that with no pun intended. Kid has some get up about himself when he touches the football. He is a guy that plays the cornerback position with a lot of grit. He is taking his talents from Jackson Academy to Madison Central this season. Madison Central won state last year and adding a piece to the puzzle like this is very big. I’m expecting that he will help out on defense more than anything, but he can help out their RBs when they need a break. One of the beautiful things about high school football is being able to tell your defensive coordinator you need a guy like Mitchell to get four or five yards. Next thing you know he pops one for about twenty. That’s the type of player Mitchell is. This will be an exciting season for the Jaguars.
Hayes Caperton, 6-3 295, OL, Winston Academy, 2025
Hayes didn’t start as a 9th grader in football last season, but he was smacking base hits last year on the diamond. This season he is leaving Ivy Ave headed to Richardson Rd to be a Patriot. Hayes is going to be working with one of the best strength conditioning coaches in the state, Sean Greer. He is going to get in better shape and become quicker. That will help Omar Scott Omar Scott 6'2" | 200 lbs | RB Winston Academy | 2024 State MS gain some more yards this season. Hayes is a cock strong guy who has a mean punch. He has the size and potential to be a Power 5 guy. It is going to be fun to see where this addition will get the Patriots.
Ashton Moore Ashton Moore 5'11" | 180 lbs | LB St Joseph Catholic | 2026 MS , 6-0 180, LB, Alpharetta, 2026
Last season as an 8th grader, Ashton was an impact player on St. Joe Catholic School’s football team. This year he is leaving Madison, MS and is relocating in GA. He is already over there making a name for himself. Ashton is a player that has a very high motor and knows how to make solid tackles. He can drop back and be a major factor in zone defense. He can line up and play man to man with RBs. Alpharetta is getting a great player in Asthon Moore. He is one of the most talked about LBs across the nation in his class. Keep an eye out. His name will be buzzing a lot very soon.
Jimothy Lewis Jimothy Lewis 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Bradenton IMG Academy | 2024 State FL , 6-7 280, OL, IMG Academy, 2024
Jimothy set the news and social media on fire when he announced he is leaving MS to play at IMG Academy. He is already ranked the number one OT in his class. This is another great player that will head out to Florida and help IMG do major things. Jimothy is an absolute beast. There is no need to go into details about this young man. Everybody knows how he is rocking. IMG Academy can count on him to be very dominant.
