Lang is a premier player at a premier position. With elite size, skill, and athleticism, he’s simply the boogie man for opposing rushers. The Pike Road product is legit and a no-brainer as a selection for his list. Most defenders look like they’ve run into a brick wall when trying to get past Lang. He uses his great arm span to control engagement and can simply erase guys from before the play develops. Though Lang is a bully on the line, he possesses rare agility and mobility for his size and can be an elite lead blocker as a puller. His pop out of his stance and balance is impressive given the big fella’s size. Lang is also proficient in pass protection with his ability to read, react, and win in hand-to-hand combat- making him an all-around tackle and a can’t miss prospect. With nearly all of the SEC schools lined up for his services, look for Lang to continue to open up gaps in the run game and keep his QB clean on a weekly basis.
Debose is a physical specimen that has next-level athleticism and talent. With prototypical size, Debose simply man handles guys at the line of scrimmage. He can take guys out of the play with extreme strength and create space for ball carriers. Though he’s a dominant mountain mover, he still has enough lateral quickness to keep smaller/ speedier rushers from his QB, which is rare for his size. In addition to having the physical tools, Debose is also a high-motor guy who finishes plays, blocks to the whistles, and sets the tone for his unit. Look for Debose to be a shield for ball carriers and add on to his impressive offer list that already includes Michigan, Arkansas, and Ole Miss.
Myers is a lineman who wins with effort, toughness, and consistency. The Arkansas State signee is a relentless competitor and looks to dominate his matchup with every rep. He’s excellent within zone blocking schemes and has the mobility to chip lineman, get up to the second level, or shine as a double teamer. He gets a good snap off the ball and can some steam behind him quickly on angle blocks. This, in addition to his ability to play with leverage makes him a force to be reckoned with in the run game. In pass protection, he shows good fundamentals and swiftness on his feet to keep his body in front. Though he’s the lightest guy on the list, Myers compensates with competitiveness and technique, making him one of the region’s best linemen.
Miles is one of the more polished offensive linemen in the state. The Ramsay product is smooth operating big who can win with technique and mobility. He has excellent footwork and is light on his feet with kick-steps, getting out on the perimeter, and being a lead blocker. As a double-team blocker, he excels at an angle blocking and driving outside linemen out of the play. In one-on-one situations, he’s always the first to engage, quick with his strikes, and has Miles’s great grip strength that keeps defenders out of the plays. Miles has offers from Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, and the University of Indiana, which speaks to his skill and athleticism. Look for Miles to be an anchor for Ramsay and continue to be one of the top linemen in the state.
Micah Cole
Micah Cole
Cole is a talented lineman who could’ve made the list as a defensive lineman. This versatility and athleticism make him a premier protector in the 5A region. He shows optimal mobility as a puller and can be effective as the lead blocker. Though he’s on the lighter side, Cole is powerful for his size and is and uses this to be effective in both the pass and run. He does a great job of getting leverage and placing his hands inside in pass protection. In the run game, he’s a mauler and uses his lower body strength to drive defenders away. With a solid overall skill set and versatility as a defensive tackle Cole is a certified playmaker and will be crucial to Tallassee’s season.
