Avery Herting – DE/RB, Senior
Herting is a dual threat on both sides of the ball and does that very well. Herting on defense is a defensive lineman who can do quite a lot. He breaks away from the lineman fast and efficiently, getting to the quarterback with relative ease. Herting is a massive edge threat on the defense with most of his snaps on defense having double teams come at him, with little success in stopping him. Herting is a menacing force on the defense yet on offense he is just as potent. As a running back, Herting is a power-back who dives right into defenders. He puts his head down and tramples through defenders with what is seen as relative ease. Herting is a true freight train on both sides of the ball and is making big plays on both sides of the ball.
Jacob VandeWeerd – Utility, 6’8″ 225lbs, Senior
VandeWeerd while not have a true definite position, what he brings to the table is that he can play a few. With his 6’8″ frame allows him to play skill positions with ease. First off he can play WR and get above defenders with his big size to bring passes in. I would say his closes role or position would be a gadget player, someone who can do anything that you want on the offense. VandeWeerd has shows extremely athleticism and has a great vertical of 27″. VandeWeerd while not excelling truly at anything is a master of none, he can do anything that you want him too. With VandeWeerd you know exactly what you are going to get, someone who you can play at WR, TE, FS, DE, or OL even, you can do just about anything with the skill that VandeWeerd has.
Cain Wallner – WR/FS/DE, 6’2″ 170lbs, Sophomore
Wallner has a skill set that is second to none with all of the abilities that he has in his bag. To start he is fast and mobile as a wideout to be open whenever a pass is thrown in his area. He can make a play out of a broken one to get open and helps his quarterback in every facet of the game. Wallner does not like to get short yardages, he wants to get the big yards for even bigger gains. On the defense, he works well as a lurking free safety who can pick off any ball that comes in his way. He can break up passes quite well and get into the face of receivers in his fly zone. He makes big hits to force fumbles and cause turnovers like no other. Wallner has three years ahead of him and we should be seeing the best of what he has to offer.
Matthew Anderson Matthew Anderson 6'5" | 190 lbs | ATH Canton | 2024 State SD – WR, 6’5″ 190lbs, Junior
Anderson is an oversized wide receiver who is intimidating to any defensive back who lines up with him. Anderson can just about anything that you want out of your wide receiver, and has some traits that you cannot quantify on paper. Anderson is such a threat at any time that he is on the field that when play-action plays are called, more often than not defensive backs will trail him instead of going to stop the run. Anderson can trick DBs due to how much of a threat he is on the field. Anderson has played some TE too with his size, it’s hard for anyone to match up well with him. To put it simply Anderson is a matchup nightmare, not to mention his run blocking that he has as a wide receiver is unmatched in every quality. Anderson is the best kind of receiver that you can have, strong, good hands, great blocker, and all around nightmare for anyone guarding him on the defense.
