Jaxton Eck Jaxton Eck 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB Brookings | 2023 State – LB 6’0″ 210lbs, Senior
Eck is a machine on the defensive side of the ball while at the linebacker position. He gets tackles for a loss like no other whether you line him up on the edge or use him to rush the offense after the pocket breaks down. He is a threat to any quarterback since he finds a way to get to him. He loves to overpower any lineman with double teams not even able to contain them in any capacity. He is a run stopper through and through, being able to get into the backfield to get tackles for a loss at a high rate. His unmatched explosiveness on the edge is what makes him so dangerous to anyone that tries to guard him. He is formidable when ran in zone coverages schemes. He will get you some quick picks and pass knock down.
Caleb Loehr Caleb Loehr 6'0" | 215 lbs | DL Brookings | 2023 State – DL, 6’1″ 210lbs, Senior
Loehr while not being the best edge rusher, he is an elite run stopper on the defensive line. His ability to stop the run and watch him do it was entrancing. He fills holes that are formed by the offensive line and gets in there to stop big runs. His IQ is great when it comes to not being tricked or juked out by any running back who is trying to get past defenders. He is strong and bulky on the defensive line, so his IQ combined with his sheer ability to break through lineman makes him a threat on the edge. Loehr will be a critical piece on the defense for helping an elite run game.
Tyson Brandt Tyson Brandt ATH Brookings | 2023 State – WR/RB, 6’0″ 185lbs, Senior
Brandt is a dual threat with the ability as a runner and as a receiver. Brandt as a receiver is an elite talent, he can run great routes and catch passes on very quick throws. Comeback routes seem to work with his skill set and allow him to generate the most value for his offense that way. Combine that with his frame and speed, he can outrun just about anyone in his way. He creates large amounts of separation by breaking away from anyone. As a RB, he lines and works best when in a gun package and can run draw plays to break away for big runs. He catches passes quite well out of the backfield and even do jet sweeps in the offense package Brookings run’s. He is a great threat on both offensive sides and can help your team in more ways than one.
Jackson Hoffman – TE, 6’2″ 190lbs, Senior
Hoffman, most impressive ability with him is agility as a tight end. His route running is above average for a tight end position, giving him a big advantage. When out in the open field, Hoffman is an elite with the ability to break away and get great chunk yards. When getting into the red zone, Hoffman also has some blocking that benefits the run game to score some easy touchdowns. Hoffman had 3 touchdowns on the year and averaged a great 12.5 yards per catch, with the ability to get yards after the catch with him a real possibility. Hoffman is a big piece for a Brookings team that is going to be looking to capture their great success that they have been having over the past few years.
