The Clark Eagles were able to cruise to a 42-0 victory in what was a lopsided contest against King. Although it was smooth sailing in week 1, Clark’s week 2 matchup against St. Viator (1-0) will be a giant measuring stick for the Eagles.
So without further ado, let’s get to know 5 prospects from Clark who had standout performances in week 1…
Taylor has been on my radar since he was a freshman, and it appears he’s developing into the athlete I expected him to be after watching him this past weekend. He’s physically put together and has the dawg mentality to match. A hard nose runner who rushed for two touchdowns this weekend and consistently made his presence felt on defense.
Kejuan Fountain | 2023
Fountain found the endzone twice this past weekend. His first touchdown came on a 52-yard touchdown reception and the second touchdown was about a 70-yard fumble recovery. He’s a versatile athlete who has a definite impact on both sides of the ball.
Kamarion Rice | 2023
Rice finished the game with multiple sacks and wreaked absolute havoc on King’s offensive line. His size and athleticism made him virtually unblockable, and he was beyond disruptive during his standout week 1 performance.
Tyshon Perkins | 2025
Perkins is a prospect you’ll want to keep an eye on as the season progresses. He lines up just about everywhere on the field and is as dynamic as they come. He had one spectacular catch where he got the crowd out of their seats and showcased his excellent leaping ability. He also had a couple of interceptions to go along with his offensive production. Perkins is only a sophomore, so it’s going to be a treat to watch him over the next few years.
Adrian Clayton | 2023
The senior quarterback had a solid performance in his week 1 victory. He threw a bomb down the sideline to Kejuan Fountain for his only passing touchdown of the day, but nonetheless, Clayton’s arm strength was definitely on display this past weekend.
