Continue ReadingPrep Redzone has finally arrived in the state of Utah !!! this state has produced some of the best football players to ever play on the gridiron like Zach Wilson, Haloti Ngata and Star Lotulelei. Utah’s 4A Region 10 and 11 contains some of the top teams in the state and is looking to repeat that year with good competitive football match ups and players who are ready to play at the college level. Lets explore the talent from the mountains of Logan, UT to the deserts of St.George and see the amount of talent this 4A class holds…this is just right now so I expect there will be more as the season goes on but for now lets take a look.
Noah Fuailetolo Noah Fuailetolo 6'1" | 240 lbs | QB Desert Hills | 2023 State UT QB / 6’1/ 200lbs/ Desert Hills, Senior
Noah Fuailetolo Noah Fuailetolo 6'1" | 240 lbs | QB Desert Hills | 2023 State UT is a 2nd team All State QB with a 3.9 GPA. He averaged 208.9 yds passing per game with 26 TDs and 5 int, he has Drew Brees type tangibles as a good pocket passer with good arm strength and has good judgement when timing his passes in 3-5 step drops or RPO plays and has mobility to avoid rush in the pocket to extend plays so don’t get caught being amazed by just his passing game alone. Look for Noah to have a productive season this year as one the top players in Utah’s 4A football. Feel free to check his highlight film with the link below.
Hunter Johnson QB / 6’0 / 190lbs / Snow Canyon, Senior
Hunter Johnson returns as 4A Honorable Mention QB with great athletic ability running a 4.7 40, 370 lb squat, 390 lb deadlift, and 250 lb clean. Johnson has the arm strength/accuracy to deliver the ball to his skill players and has the ability to extend plays with his legs by avoiding pass rushers and keeping a good vision downfield to make plays. Johnson had the “state play of the year” with the ball on the opp 15, he throws a nice accurate pass on the run to his receiver in the top left corner of the endzone for a TD. A true play maker on the field.
Carter Ashby QB,SS / 5’6/ 160 lbs/ Hurricane, Senior
Did anybody get to watch Doug Flutie play football ? well now we get our chance except we get to see with Carter Ashby who has the same size, skill, and number (#22 if you guys didn’t know). Carter is an incredible student athlete with a 3.9 gpa, 4.6 40 time, 35 inch vert, 275 lbs on the bench, 375 lb squat, and 245 lbs clean. As fun as it is to watch him play quarterback, college scouts will most likely recruit him as a ATH as he shows good explosion and burst as a runner and quickness he shows in the pocket dodging defenders and extending plays.
Cyrus Polu OLB,TE / 6’2 / 205 lbs / Desert Hills, Sophmore
Polu returns after having a very impressive freshman year in varsity with 25 tackles and 3 TFLs. His athleticism is impressive with a 4.7 40 time, 4.2 shuttle, 395 lb squat, 405 lb deadlift and 265 lb clean. Polu shows quick movement off the ball, has good use of hands to get separation, recognize the play and shed blocks wasting no time . A physical player that stop plays at the line of scrimmage and ability to get up field and make the play. He is already being recruited by BYU so expect that to change when the season gets going.
Tanner Paskett Tanner Paskett 6'2" | 185 lbs | DL Ridgeline | 2023 State UT DL / 6’2/ 185 lbs / Ridgeline, Senior
Paskett made 1st team All State as a junior last year racking up 54 tackles and 10 sacks. Paskett shows good initial quickness at the line of scrimmage reading and reacting what he sees and acceleration to the ball. Has good use of hands to separate, control, and shed blocks to get up field and make the tackle or get to the quarterback. Keep your eye on him, as he plans to make another run at being All State again.
