Key Players to Watch
Brady Drogosh Brady Drogosh 6'5" | 205 lbs | QB De La Salle | 2023 State MI | Senior | QB | Hudl
Drogosh played great football for De La Salle last year. He is a tremendous competitor who played a major role in the state title run last season. He plays very composed and runs the offense very effectively. He has very good mobility and has the capability to hurt opposing teams on the ground and through the air. His play has earned him offers from several Division 1 schools and is currently committed to Cincinnati.
Sam Wakula | Junior | LB | Hudl
Wakula does a great job of reading where the run is going and then quickly shooting gaps to make tackles. I love that Wakula relentlessly pursues the ball carriers. He is does a great job of working through traffic to make strong, physical tackles. Wakula has many plays where he reads where the ball carrier is going and then absolutely flying down hill to make a hard hard hit. It will be fun to watching him track down ball carriers this year.
Jamari Allen | Senior | DB | Hudl
Jamari Allen has good size at 6-1 and runs a 4.5 40-yard dash. The first thing that stands out about Allen’s game is his ability to break on the football and create interceptions. The De La Salle coaching staff loves to blitz him off the edge at the cornerback position. His timing and speed has led to him getting in the back field and getting sacks and forcing fumbles. Allen plays a lot of press man-to-man and has the speed and recovery speed to run with receivers on go routes. Allen looks smooth dropping into zone coverage and does a good job of coming up to make open field tackles.
Nicholas Nielsen | Senior | TE/OL | Hudl
I love the effort that Nielsen gives blocking. He is a guy who always blocks to the whistle and has the strength to drive defenders out of the play. You have to love a guy that plays with this type of intensity. Nielsen played great football especially down the stretch in the playoffs last year for De La Salle. He has very good size at 6-6, 235 lbs and has a frame where he could continue to add mass. He pass blocking is very good and he does a great job of keeping good leverage and working to stay in front of defenders. Nielsen is great at sealing off defenders on end-around plays. He he has very good hand placement and uses his arm length to prevent defenders from getting around him.
