Woods Cross
Woods Cross upset Bonneville last week but few believed they could go into Box Elder and keep the momentum going. Yet that’s precisely what they did, knocking off the Bees 35-21 in impressive fashion. The Wildcats would outscore the Bees 29-0 from late in the second quarter, stretching to the game’s final 2 minutes. Woods Cross quarterback Bradley Bailey was sensational, scorning three touchdowns in the impressive win. The Wildcat’s defense was outstanding in the second half, and after two huge wins, Woods Cross could find themselves in our top 10 teams in 5A this week.
Brighton
The Bengals locked in the Region 6 crown by beating Park City 47-33. The Miners scored 26 points in the second quarter and even though they were held scoreless in the third still led 33-25 entreating the fourth quarter. However, the Bengals took over the game in the final frame, scoring 22 unanswered points to capture the big-time win. Brighton’s trio of Kace Gurr, Nash Matheson, and

scored all six of the Bengal’s touchdowns.
Spanish Fork
The Wasps had scored a combined 158 points over their last three games but were stomped by the Dons, who didn’t let them score in the first half and only gave up 20 for the game. Spanish Fork scored over 25 points in each half to notch the 56-20 win. The Dons rushed for five touchdowns, with three of those coming from running back Joshua Buck. Spanish Fork has won their last four games and, coming off their most points scored on the season, look to be hitting their stride at the right time.
Timpview
Orem was starting to pick up steam the last few weeks, and with the Thunderbirds continuing to roll, this seemed like a trap game for Timvpview. But the Thunderbirds came ready and rocked the Tigers 62-42. Timvpivew and Orem combined for 15 touchdowns with two defensive touchdowns from the Thunderbirds, one of the most significant differences in the final score. One of those belongs to our second-ranked player in the class of 2024,
