We have a new team in our top five and a familiar one making a return to the top 10 in our late tests team rankings.
1. Lehi Pionners (7-0)
The Pioneers scored their most points of the season and they reached that mark in just the first half where they scored 70 points. Lehi scored 35 in both quarters to jump out to the insurmountable lead that would lead to a 77-0 victory.
2. Timpview Thunderbirds (5-1)
The Thunderbirds had their bye week allowing them to sit back and rest up before what they hope to be a long pos season run. With one of the top offensive lines and front sevens in the state Timpview remains a force to be reckoned with.
3. Stansburry Stallions (7-0)
The Stallions forced two turnovers deep inside Cedar Valley territory on their first two drives of the game. Allowing them to jump out to a 14-0 lead and Stansburry would keep the momentum going on to win 46-7.
4. Springville Red Devils
Springville won a high scoring affair against the Wasatch Wasps 48-40. The Red Devils lead for most of the game and where able to get a win in large part thanks to four touchdowns from running back Tevita Valeti Tevita Valeti 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Springville | 2024 State UT .
5. Brighton Bengals (6-1)
The Bengals defense dominated the East Leopards offense only givinging up one field goal. Brighton was able to find the end zone twice for the 14-3 win. Brighton has not lost since week one and is our current front runner for the Region 6 crown.
6. Park City Miners (6-1)
The Olympus Titans jumped out to a 14-7 lead after the first quarter but The Miners were able to lock in and shut out the Titans the rest of the way. Park City outscored Olympus 14-0 in the second half to get the 21-14 win.
7. Bountiful Red Hawks (5-2)
Bountiful and Box Elder faced off in a defensive grudge match on Friday night. Red Hawks receiver Brigham Morrison hauled in a long touchdown pass from quarterback Owen Geilman with less than three minutes remanning to take the game 14-13.
8. Box Elder Bees (5-2)
Box Elder led for most of the game but the late touchdown by the Redhawks gave the Bees their first loss of region play and second loss of the season. The Bees where outstanding on defense in the game and will no doubt be fine going forward.
9. Bonneville Lakers (5-2)
The Lakers struggled to move the ball in their 17-7 loss to Woods Cross. Bonneville’s defense only allowed a field goal in the second half but in the end the Lakers lost their second consecutive game
10. Orem Tigers (4-2)
The Tigers scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters to propel them to a 20-7 win over Alta. Since two tough losses to some of the sates top teams Orem has regrouped and could make another surprise postseason run.
