Now, we didn’t see film on every wide receiver in the country, but these we’re eight prospects that stood out on film and have yet to receive a huge boost in their recruitment. There’s a ton of talent featured here, and I think some project as high as the power five level. Keep a watchful eye out for them as they continue to progress throughout their 2024 season. Here’s who to watch for!
Isaiah McMorris, 6′ 170, Bellevue West, NE
- Can easily elevate for the 50/50 ball.
- Wiggle after the catch is fantastic.
- Calmly adjusts to make tough catches on poorly thrown balls.
RJ Echols, 6′ 170, McEachern, GA
- Change of direction causes a ton of over-pursuit from the defense.
- Shows consistent hands when working in traffic.
- Effortlessly tracks the go ball and can roll the neck to make adjustments.
Izay Bridges, 5’8″ 160, Shelby, NC
- An explosive slot that can take the top off most defenses.
- Has a knack for finding the holes in zone coverage and sitting in them.
- Shows soft hands, catching the football away from his body.
Ivan Carreon, 6’6″ 195, Odessa, TX
- Has deceptive downfield build-up speed.
- Size and leaping ability gives corners serious problems.
- Can work all three parts of the field and create chunk plays.
Jaxton Santiago Jaxton Santiago 6'5" | 220 lbs | TE Centennial | 2024 State CA , 6’3″ 215, Centennial, CA
- Turns into a physical runner after the catch.
- Unphased when asked to go over the middle of the field.
- Probably projects as a tight end at the next level but has the wheels of a wide receiver.
Xavier Jordan Xavier Jordan 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR Sierra Canyon | 2024 State CA , 6’1″ 170, Cathedral, CA
- Has the body control to make acrobatic catches.
- Is well-tuned on his releases and can efficiently defeat press coverage.
- Generates a ton of separation on vertical concepts.
Avery McFadden, 5’9″ 170, Hillcrest, SC
- Has some serious shake with the ball in his hands.
- Can be a major issue for safeties if second-level defenders don’t get their hands on him.
- Uses his top-end speed to split two defenders that have an angle on him.
Dakari Anderson, 5’9″ 180, Perry, GA
- Extremely effective as a “catch and run” receiving threat.
- Shows the vision to either get vertical quickly or cut it back against the grain.
- Doesn’t allow press corners to get hands-on and will use a speed release to blow by them.
