Elia Bahuma
A new name out of Concord HS. Fond of what this kid brings to the table. First week saw a modest contribution for the back, both on special teams, helping in the passing game and of course, consistently finishing runs with authority. This past weekend’s tape saw much of the same, a well-balanced back who can make 1st and 2nd and longs manageable. Eats between the tackles, Bahuma won’t kill you with blazing speed, he will, however, overwhelm you with a great motor at back. Again can be trusted to catch and play special teams. He put up a massive 300-yard performance recently as well, three scores that night to boot.
Tiger An
Tiger An
Here’s a see-it-and-go back who is going to surprise many with his first-15 burst. Tiger An legitimately acts as the program’s back, where Windham likes to utilize his no-nonsense running style mixed in with a ton of pre-snap misdirection snaps. The scheme works well. An has put together some serious numbers, scoring six touchdowns in three games while surmounting the 100-yard mark twice. Excited to add him to our database.
Kaiden Melendez
Kaiden Melendez
I plugged in the full Spaulding-Portsmouth game to see the finish that so many talked about this past week. Melendez and company faced a 10-0 deficit with just under seven minutes left in the game. The drought ended in a flash with a Spaulding securing a pick-six to make momentum shift in their favor. The ensuing offensive possession saw PM lose the football on a strip sack of the PM quarterback. Enter Kaiden Melendez, who orchestrated a masterful touchdown drive that put Spaulding ahead for the first time in the game. Melendez then proceeded to pick off a pass to all but end this comeback win that had the junior quarterback’s fingerprints all over it. I’ll stay posted on this kid and many at the program.
Jeffrey Vidou
Jeffrey Vidou
I turned on the John Stark tape after hearing about this kid’s dominant performance. The competition might’ve not been up to par, but that still doesn’t take away how dominant Vidou was in this one. JS had no answer for the young man on either side of the ball. At DB, Vidou brought down ball carriers with ease, while also picking off two passes for one touchdown. On offense, I would understand a handoff to Vidou on every down, to be honest. No one showed up to tackle, even if they did, Vidou has enough COD ability and lateral displacement to make his first and second defender miss. He was unreal on the night.
Dennis Glidden
Dennis Glidden
Reports state that sophomore Dennis Glidden secured two touchdown passes and returned a kickoff in the win against Franklin earlier in the year. I couldn’t find the tape, yet his most recent tape impressed me nonetheless. It didn’t have three scores in it, yet I still saw plenty of impressive DB work. Aggressive nature causes a ton of PBU’s in pass defense, while the athlete can be easily utilized on offense and special teams. Fun young player to watch.
Jordan Espo
Jordan Espo
No tape to be had yet out of Epping senior Jordan Espo, yet the team as well as the prospect caught my eye in the past weeks. About two weeks ago, Jordan Espo erupted for 160 yards on the ground and two scores in just one half. Espo was already in line to make our most recent rankings update, more performances like this will solidify that notion.
