Chase Brown, QB, Flagstaff ’26
The freshman went 15-18 for 405 yards and 6 TD’s in his debut in the blowout win over Rio Rico. H sizes up at 6’2″ 160lbs and possesses a ton of room to grow and add mass within the next couple years given his long, slender frame. He did an excellent job with his pre-snap read to hit the quick outs when there was cusion, slants when he read the blitz, and stretched the field vertical while not letting pressure rattle him.
Daxen Hall, RB, Higley ’24
Hall offically introduced himself as a game changer and the most dynamic player on the field on Friday night. He rushed for 224 yards and 3 TD’s on just 12 carries, and snagged 8 receptions for 105 yards and 2 TD’s to help Higley spring a shootout win over Sunnyslope 57-35. A very impressive night from the Jr. prospect, as he should see a big spark at the end of the season if he can continue to be effective from multiple dimensions.
Wyatt Horton Wyatt Horton 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Pinnacle | 2025 State AZ , QB, Pinnacle ’25
Horton’s impressive season continues, as he threw for 335 yards and 5 TD’s while only throwing 18 times (16-18). He continues to emerge as a top 2025 QB in the state, as Pinnacle looks like they have something special with Horton. Excellent job reading defenses at a young age and throws with good timing, touch, and placement.
Darius Haskin Darius Haskin 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Camp Verde | 2024 State AZ , WR, Buckeye ’24
Haskin hauled in 5 receptions but made them count, racking up 258 yards and 2 TD’s to help Buckeye beat Bradshaw 34-22. His speed was the difference maker in this, Bradshaw just couldn’t contain his speed. He also put the brakes on and put multiple defenders on skates in the open field to spring himself loose for a big gain. Haskin is dangerous in space, and I’ll be interested to see more of him as the season goes on.
Ca’Lil Valentine Ca’Lil Valentine 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Chandler | 2024 State AZ , RB, Chandler ’24
Valentine had a big night on Thursday, rushing for 213 yards and 4 TD’s on 17 carries to be that difference maker and grab a W over Notre Dame Prep 35-0. Valentine showed flashes last season of being that dangerous, big play tye of back, and this year Valentine is absolutely proving that he is one of the best ball carriers in the state. He picked up an Arizona offer this week as well.
Manny Pino, QB, Mesa ’23
Pino had himself a huge night to lead Mesa to a 47-28 win over Cesar Chavez. He went 6-9 for 235 yards and 4 TD’s, while rushing for 117 yards on 22 carries. He flashed a bit of that dual-threat ability and was the definition of a lights out player this past week.
