Nonetheless you will have some guys trying their best to shine for their communities tonight. It’s crunch time and only playmakers last. Who is going to be big time tonight?
Xavier Hunt, QB, Louisville, 2025
Last week Louisville took a tough loss. Their defense carried them along as their offense only had one seventy three yards of total offense. I think it is time for Hunt to pump those legs more. His arm is looking good, but I think there are a lot of plays where he can pull the ball and get more yards with his legs. He is going to be a star for them tonight.
EJ Stovall, WR, Houston, 2023
I think it is time for EJ Stovall to make some very big plays for the Hilltoppers. They are without their star running back and they could use a big time playmaker. Stovall has the size, speed with athleticism to put this team on their back. I would even explore the options of letting him run the football a few times tonight. Look for him to have a big night.
Jaylon York Jaylon York 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Starkville | 2023 State MS , WR, Starkville, 2023
Jaylon York Jaylon York 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Starkville | 2023 State MS is always the guy that pumps the Yellowjackets up. He is their heart when they are offense. He keeps them motivated when he is on defense. This guy is very vocal and he is a player to have on your team in crunch situations. He makes a difference when they are in a fight. He does not let his teammates hold their head down.
Jaylon Skinner, QB, Grenada, 2023
Skinner is a guy that Grenada likes to use in their read option. He knows how to scamper for big time yards. He is very fast and is hard to stop once he gets to the next level. You won’t see him throw it much. He is their ground guy.
Kahnen Daniels Kahnen Daniels 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB West Point | 2024 State MS , ATH, West Point, 2024
Kahnen Daniels Kahnen Daniels 6'1" | 185 lbs | RB West Point | 2024 State MS has a lot of speed. We have yet to see him have those big yard games he was having last year. I think that will change Friday. Look for him to be looking to get hot by bursting off those long seventy yard rushes.
