With that being said, we’re going to be taking a look at new names on the horizon based on film that I was either send via DM or tagged on Twitter. The mission has always been the same, being a resource to these high school athletes and covering as many young men as possible no matter the college-level projection (D1, D2, NAIA, D3, JUCO). With that being said, let’s take a look at part two of my names on the horizon.

Mr. Clark is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time now and one that continues to improve year in year out. What stands out the most about this young man is his ability to close quickly on the ball carrier – whether that means he peels off his coverage to secure tackles in the flat or taking pursuit angles to secure open field tackles. In terms of his pass coverage skillset, he does a good job working man to man being able to hold his own one-on-one on deep shots downfield. More specifically, he’s able to stay on the receiver’s hip pocket keeping himself in a position to make a play on the ball which he does by getting his hand in forcing pass breakups. All in all, Mr. Clark is a formidable cornerback for the Warriors that can be left on an island and can hold his own. Look for his ranking to be increased at the end of this fall season. Currently holds an offer from Roosevelt University. Twitter

Mr. Lesher can work across various linebacker positions and make his impact felt in run support. Talk about a rangy run-stopping linebacker, standing at 6’3 he can secure tackles slightly outside his frame which is seen when he takes pursuit angles to secure open field tackles. One clip in pass coverage stands out where he uses his long reach to deflect the pass on a corner route even though he’s underneath it to force a pass breakup. So far, he’s put up solid numbers for the Cadet’s defense. Look for more of the same for the rest of this fall season. He can also make an appearance on offense in the backfield being a big frame ball carrier to bring down. Currently, he holds no offers but does have interest across various levels. Twitter

Howard Williamson

Mr. Williamson is a new name to me this fall season and he’s showcasing his dominance against defensive backs this fall. He can line up across various receiver spots and I believe he can be a darn good X reciever at the next level. Look at the first clip in his highlights and you’ll see how dominant he can be going up for 50/50 balls on deep shots downfield in double coverage. Wow, just wow. Talk about one heck of a catch. What stands out the most about this young man is his fast feet on his release off the line of scrimmage – he uses this to gain either inside or outside release and then stacks the defender quickly. In a few clips, he also showcases his ability to secure sideline grabs and get a toe tap to complete the catch as he fully extends. Currently this young man holds no offers, but standing at 6’2 200 and having the skill set that he does I would be very shocked if colleges don’t get eyes on this young man once this fall season is completed. I got a chance to see Mr. Bartz LIVE in action during his team’s contest versus Plainfield East where he was able to come away with a TD score. Since then, he’s continued his production and is going to see a switch from the watchlist into our rankings. Turn on his first clip of his highlights below and you can see just how big of a threat he can be working out of the slot. In this clip, he’s able to run a seam route and go up for the 50/50 ball in double coverage on the deep shot downfield. This young man is able to come down with the catch by high pointing the ball and he does this in a few other clips in his highlights as well. What’s interesting is how he can also line up as an H back and get utilized either in run blocking or in the air attack. One trait to keep an eye on in this regard is when he checks and releases as he finds himself wide to secure the catch before getting vertical to keep the chains moving. He’s on the watchlist right now but expect Mr. Bartz to crack into the rankings once this season is concluded. Currently, he holds no offers but I would keep a close eye on his production the rest of this fall season as he has traits that would transition well to the next level. Twitter

Mr. Sisson is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time now and he continues to ball out each season. This young man is a true athlete that has the skill set to get it done on both sides of the ball. The first clip in his highlights he delivers a heavy blow on the ball carrier forcing a fumble and he’s not afraid to get involved in pass coverage. Where he’s currently shining the most is on the offensive side of the ball working as a quarterback. The threat his legs are to opposing defenses causes headaches as this young man can find the smallest alley to hit using his foot quicks to outrun 2nd-level defenders for six. If you try to load the box to stop this young man from scrambling, he is able to make level three throws on deep shots downfield putting the ball into his receiver’s basket. Safe to say this young man is going to continue to be a force on both sides of the ball over these next two seasons and I’m excited to see what he’s able to accomplish. Currently holds interest across various levels but holds no offers. Look for that first offer to come once this fall season is concluded and the flood gates of offers to come as he’s one of the top players in the class of 24 here in Illinois. Twitter

What’s impressive about Mr. Alexander is how he can work as a nickel corner, corner, and safety to make his mark on the defensive side of the ball. Throughout his highlights, he showcases how he’s able to stay on the receiver’s hip pocket when in man coverage and contest the ball to secure interceptions or pass breakups. This is all set up by him being able to get hands-on at the line of scrimmage limiting the receiver’s chances of getting a free release and can then use his fluid flip of his hips to not lose a step when he’s transitioning. This young man can also work as a receiver on the offensive side of the ball where he showcases his foot quicks to get vertical quickly once he secures the catch to either break a long run or get into the endzone for six. The same is seen in the return game as he’s used as a return man. All in all, Mr. Alexander is another top player Marian Catholic has on their roster this season that has done a good job of making his mark so far this season. Currently, he holds no offers but I wouldn’t be surprised if he picks up his first offer once this season is concluded as his technique is one of the best I’ve seen for the class of 24′ in Illinois. Damian Wilson
Damian Wilson
Mr. Wilson is a new name to me this fall season working as a Mike backer. This young man flashes his ability to slip blocks to disrupt plays in the backfield which is a trait to keep an eye on for the rest of this fall season. Piggybacking off this, turn on the first clip in his highlights below and you’ll see the impact he can make when slipping blocks as he’s blitzing. In this clip, he not only got into the backfield quickly but was able to deliver a hard hit on the quarterback forcing a fumble on the play. When he’s filling holes in run support, he can disengage blocks to secure the tackle at/near the line of scrimmage for no/little gain on the play as he’s not afraid to take the run block head-on. Currently, he’s positioned more of a run-stopping linebacker but he does also flash his pass coverage skill sets in his highlights below. Currently holds no offers. Twitter
Mr. Densmore works primarily as an X receiver and can work out of the slot at times as well. Look at the first clip in the highlights below and you’ll get a good look into the type of playmaker that this young man is. In multiple plays, he was able to go up for 50/50 balls on deep shots downfield and secure the contested catch. What stands out the most to me about his game is two things, the first being how he can adjust last second to secure the catch and the second being his quick feet at the line of scrimmage to get a good release off the line. For the rest of this fall season, keep a close eye on this young man. Also, keep an eye on his route running as he flashes how quick he can be in/out of the top of his route. Currently holds no offers but does have some interest from the next level. Twitter
