Continue ReadingThis rank is not doing Toby Brown’s 2022 performance justice. Four games in for Nashua North, Brown’s production goes as follows.
11 sacks, 31 tackles, 2 fumbles forced, 1 recovered, 2 PBUs, 1 BP, 1 TD.
Brown is off to a phenomenal start, to say the least. I remember seeing this kid way back in April/May and thinking the world of his performance at the Jersey NextGen camp. Happy to see his hard work in the offseason is paying off. 11 sacks in four games is absurd. Even if Brown doesn’t stay on this record-setting pace, he’s due for a jump in rank.

Winnacunnet’s Jake Fredericks Jake Fredericks 6’2″ | DL Winnacunnet | 2023 State NewE is having himself a year as well. There are a ton of New England senior defensive linemen that are worthy of their ranks, yet I find it hard to believe that there are 25 interior linemen playing better than Fredericks through 3-4 weeks. 9 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, Fredericks is overpoweing and bullying his opponents inside. He’s a whopping 6’2, 275-pound senior whose build best suits him for interior work, yet I could see future suitors wanting him to slim down and give EDGE position a shot. I’ll continue to have my eye out for tape on this kid moving forward.
Tough to say that we are surprised to see Isaiah Reese Isaiah Reese 6’3″ | 205 lbs | ATH Philips Exeter Academy | 2025 State NewE performing this well. We project him to do so, considering he ranks as a top 70 junior in his class. Yet if Isaiah Reese Isaiah Reese 6’3″ | 205 lbs | ATH Philips Exeter Academy | 2025 State NewE continues on the offensive rampage he’s currently in, we’d have no choice but to raise his rank at the end of the season. Reese is one of the few New Hampshire prospects I’m willing to bet on to score from anywhere on the field. Reese is the epitome of a playmaker with the ball in his hands. He can take QB runs to the house from 80 yards out, showing he has the open field acceleration and stride to break defenders’ tackle angles. He can juke you out of your cleats or run through you, his blend of athleticism and power is special. All of this and more, Reese can deliver deep strikes from 50+ yards out that are accurate more times than not, setting himself up to be one of the trickiest players to gameplan against. Not to mention Reese is an elite punt return man as well. His mid-season tape is better than some NH prospect’s full-season tape. Huge fan.
First off, huge kudos to Matthew Santosuosso for having all four of his most recent tapes on his Twitter. The young man makes it easy to evalaute his game, something I’m sure college coaches at the next level will appreciate if they come across his name. Santosuosso also makes things look easy when running the read-option sets in this Bishop Guertin offense. Smart behind center, Santosuosso knows when to give or tuck the ball in mesh sets with his backs. The senior quarterback has enough wheels to hurt a defense’s perimeter, often taking QB keepers the distance if a defense doesn’t contain him inside. His prowess as a runner is vital to the team’s success in the red zone as well. Santosuosso can still throw the football, he isn’t a one-trick pony despite his ability to beat you with his legs. He can dart the football in the short/intermediate game with accuracy. His first tape against Nashua South showcases what he can do with his arm. He’s also a solid defensive back from what I hear. His stock is rising.
Jayden Bright Jayden Bright 5’9″ | 195 lbs | RB Phillips Exeter | 2025 NewE , a top 20 junior running back in New England, is making his case to rise on our ranks through 3-4 games. My introduction to Bright in 2022 started off with some dominant play at linebacker, however, showing this kid is much more than just a bruising running back. Bright spent the first two weeks wreaking havoc on both sides of the football. Bright’s gap integrity and lane knowledge translates to both positions, Bright often knows where ball carriers are headed and has the lateral agility to meet kids in the hole or before it. TFLs, blocked punts, QB pressures, you name it, Bright has put it on tape from his LB spot. What really catches our eye is his blend of vision and toughness at running back. This kid isn’t the most physically imposing back you can find, yet any defensiver back better come prepared if they have their sights on Bright in the open field. He can run through you, or around you. He can be a factor in the passing game too. I only caught two of Bright’s tapes thus far, both impressed. Yet something tells me we have yet to see the best version of this young man. I’ll have my eyes peeled.

Last but not least, I’d like to shed some light on Reimello Hyde Reimello Hyde 5’10” | 205 lbs | LB Merrimack | 2023 State NewE , a linebacker/running back out of Merrimack HS that has outplayed his pre-season rank. I’ll be first to admit, I didn’t know Hyde can the open-field wiggle he’s been showing so far this season. Hyde carries a bit of a thicker build that suits his game at linebacker, yet that build hardly hampers his ability to make kids miss in the open field, it’s a testament to his athleticism on the field. Hyde also shows off some soft hands, reeling in several screens behind the LOS, looking natural after the catch too. I still project Hyde to be most valuable to collegiate suitors at linebacker. His instincts flow naturally, he’s got solid tackling form, he flows to the football and can perform well in pass coverage. Hyde has put forth some solid tape thus far, certainly worthy of a bump after the season so long as he continues on this path. Hope to see recruitment heat up in the future as well.
