We will continue to publish this topic each week in hopes of giving the recruits we spotlight what they deserve to help grab college attention. Rhode Island maybe a smaller state but it surely does have a High School Football fan base following. This also includes college coaches taking recent notice and traveling there during the recruiting evaluation process. Here are the Top Performances we were given notice about after Week 3 play.
“McClelland”, a junior, ran for 127yrds on 12 carries and scored four touchdowns on runs of 42, 8, 47 and 3 yards. Player Analysis: He can throw darts with good accuracy. A dual threat who knows when to run. Not easy to bring down. Has a command presence. Does a nice job selling option read.
John Nicoll
John Nicoll
“Nicoll” completed all five of his pass attempts for 71 yards and two touchdowns while running for 50 yards and scoring three times to lead his team. Player Analysis: He is seen as a athlete under center. Has good game awareness. Keeps his eyes downfield with patience when running sprint pass.
The senior quarterback completed 7 of 12 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns while running for 129 yards and a touchdown to lead his team to victory. Player Analysis: Shows patience and command presence at presnap. Does a nice job reading defenders in option play decisions to give or pull. Dual Threat. Takes time at pre-snap to read defense properly.
Brock Pacheco
Brock Pacheco
“Pacheco” ran for 230 yards rushing while scoring two touchdowns to lead his team to victory. Player Analysis: Keeps his head on a swivel while running to find cut back lanes (= good vision). Has a low center of gravity that allows him to zig zag through 2nd level defenders.
“Ray” finished with 175 yards rushing and scored three times on runs of 5, 8 and 64 yards, adding a 32-yard catch to help his team to victory. Player Analysis: We are hearing “Ray” is a very good athlete!!!!. Unfortunately he has no film to evaluate. He is committed to University of Rhode Island for Baseball and likely the reason of no highlights.
