Because of that, it is worth checking out some of the state’s leaders in tackles going into week 6 of the season, as we doubt that you will regret it. In fact, some of these players may go on to be on this list by the time the season ends.

State

Seeing Lavallee’s name at the top of this list, with 73 total tackles after 4 games should come as no surprise, especially after he has done a great job of making a name for himself this year. Within these 4 games, he has also averaged around 18.2 tackles a game, and has seen himself with 49 solo tackles, and 24 tackles with assists. In addition to this, he has also blown up in other statistical categories, as he is currently listed with 9 tackles for a loss, and 3 sacks. Expect this list to continue to grow as the season goes by.
Noah Classen- Rabun Gap-Nacoochee
In 4 games, Classen has done a great job of finding himself on this list, even if it is tied with the next person on this list. So far, he has totaled 61 tackles this year, and has also averaged around 15.2 tackles a game. It only gets better though, as Classen also has 48 solo tackles, with 13 assists, and 10 tackles for a loss. While these stats may be gaudy, it is also worth noting that he has done so with also racking up 2 sacks, which have all been huge momentum shifts, and moments for his team.
John Thornton- St. Anne-Pacelli
Just like Classen, Thornton has also done a great job producing for his team’s defense this year, as he has seen himself total 61 tackles. The only difference is that he has done so in 5 games, rather than 4. Because of this, he has come away with an average of 12.2 tackles a game, with 47 solo tackles, and 14 assists. Because of his high level of production, especially in big moments of the game, we expect him to continue to step up for his team, and to add to this total effortlessly. Time will only tell as the season progresses.
Cedrion Stone- Jasper County
After 5 games, Stone has also shown that he can produce at a high level for his team when his number is called upon at the DE position. So far, he has a total of 59 tackles this year, with an average of 11.8 tackles a game. To dive even deeper, out of all of these tackles, 7 of them have been for a loss, with 20 of them being assists, and 39 of them being solos. Even more, Stone has also seen himself total 6 sacks this year, which is stellar considering the production he has put out for his team all around.
Eli Barrow

State

– Cedartown
Just shy of Stone’s 59 tackles is Barrow and his 58 tackles through 4 games this season. Because of where he is at numbers wise, and the fact that he averages around 14.5 tackles a game, we expect him to not only climb this list, but have a shot at being on it when the season comes to a close. Barrow has a total of 42 solo tackles this year, with 16 of them being assists, and 5 of them being for a loss. With this, he has also totaled 3 sacks.
