Lehi Pioneers and Stansbury Stallions
Only two teams in Utah finished 10-0, and they were the Region 7 and 8 champions. Stansbury and Lehi combined to outscore opponents 986-237. The Pioneers didn’t surrender a point in six of their 10 games while also notching impressive wins over Corner Canyon and Timpview. On the other hand, the Stallions reached 10-0 by scoring over 45 points in eight of their 10 games. Lehi’s Jackson Brosseau and Stansbury’s Ezra Harris are two of the state’s top quarterbacks, leading potent offenses. Both teams took care of business in dominant week 10 wins to help them secure high seeds in the postseason.
Spanish Fork Dons
The Dons took on the red-hot Woods Cross Wildcats in a late non-region showdown for both teams. The game was tied at 10 at the half, with Woods Cross taking a 17-13 lead heading into the 4th. Spanish Fork would not take their first lead of the game until the final minute when a big-time touchdown pass from quarterback Will Dart and receiver Sai Maugh. Dons running back Joshua Buck also contributed with a touchdown and 144 rushing yards in Spanish Forks’ seventh win of the season.
East Leopards
The Leopards captured their sixth win of the season thanks to a strong performance on both sides of the ball. Highland tied the game at seven with over four minutes remaining in the first quarter, but from there, it was all Leopards who went on to dominate the rest of the game in the 42-7 win. ‘s three touchdowns performance while the defense locked in. The Leopards may have four losses, but two of those are to teams in our 5A and 6A top 10, while another game against IMG. East will be a tough out for any and every team they face.
Olympus Titans
The Titans were able to pick up a big rivalry win, 13-7, over Skyline. It was a defensive battle at Olympus, with neither team scoring more than seven in a quarter. The Titians defense didn’t allow a point until there was a little over 4:30 remaining in the fourth. Two field goals from Will Rigby, the latter of which he drilled from 46 yards out, helped Olympus capture their third region win and fifth win of the season.
