2023 6’5 250 DL – Da’Shawn Womack – St. Frances Academy – LSU
LSU committ Da’Shawn Womack absolutely feasted against Kahuku (HI). He ended the game with two fumble recoveries, and he even returned one recovery for a 75 yard touchdown score which swung the momentum back to SFA late in the game. Standing at 6’5 250, the 4 star defensive end is as ready for SEC football as any other player in the nation. His fantastic defensive performance helped secure the 22-15 victory for SFA over a fellow national powerhouse. LSU nation should be ecstatic with Da’Shawn Womack’s commitment, and they can tune in to watch him again this upcoming Friday night against West Toronto Prep @7PM Eastern.
2024 6’0 180 RB – Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD – Good Counsel
I have featured Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD in almost every single article that I have posted so far this season, and the reason is, as Good Counsel football’s Twitter has already pointed out, that Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD has put on a Heisman-esque season so far in 2022. In Good Counsel’s previous game, the Flacons were victorious 36-7 over Life Christian Academy (VA), and Jones carried the ball 4 times for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns. Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD literally scored on 50% of his carries, and he surpassed 100 rushing yards on four total touches. Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD possesses staggering football ability and IQ- all of which extend far beyond the high school level. Based on this season’s performance so far, Dilin Jones Dilin Jones 6'0" | 175 lbs | RB Good Counsel | 2024 State MD ‘ ceiling truly is the sky, and he just might be the DMV athlete that I am most excited about watching at the D1 level. He is an immensely special talent, and I encourage everyone to watch him play next on October 14th against Good Counsel’s long time WCAC rivals, Gonzaga, under the Friday night lights in Washington, D.C.

2024 6’6 220 QB – Winston Watkins Winston Watkins 6'6" | 210 lbs | QB Mount St. Joseph | 2024 State MD – Mount St. Joseph’s
Winston Watkins Winston Watkins 6'6" | 210 lbs | QB Mount St. Joseph | 2024 State MD delivered a player of the week type performance against Gilman over the weekend, and he posted one of the best overall stat lines in the DMV during week five. Watkins led Mt. St. Joe’s to a dominant 35-14 victory over Gilman (MD), and he completed 21/32 passes for 247 yards and 4 touchdowns. His final QBR for the game was an incredible 128.5, and Watkins took care of the football beautifully throughout the entire contest. Maryland High School Sports’ Twitter confirms that Watkins is a Top 3 overall passing leader in the state, and he is absolutely one of the premier quarterbacks in the entire DMV area. 2023 6’1 175 WR – Avery Jones – Mount St. Joseph’s
Avery Jones had a breakout performance against Gilman, and he was absolutely unstoppable during their three touchdown win. Jones had 4 receptions for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns, and he hauled-in a 59 yard reception which was the longest overall of the game. Avery Jones and his quarterback, Winston Watkins Winston Watkins 6'6" | 210 lbs | QB Mount St. Joseph | 2024 State MD , clearly have fantastic chemistry with each other on the field, because that duo was clicking the entire game for the Gaels. Avery Jones should absolutely be on scouts’ radars, and he’ll look to add another standout performance to his record on October 15th against McDonogh in a clash for the Baltimore area high school football throne!

2023 6’0 190 DB – Kameron Howard – St. Frances Academy – Kent State
St. Frances’ 3 star defensive back, Kameron Howard, delivered a huge pick six for the Panthers in the first quarter which gave them an 8-0 lead early in the game. The Kent State commit continues to prove that he’s an elite player who belongs at the next level, and last Friday’s game was a prime example of his top-tier defensive skillset. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if we see Kameron Howard at FS/SS for Kent State within his first two seasons. He’s that elite, and there’s no doubt in my mind that Kameron Howard will thrive in a Golden Flashes uniform.

2023 5’9 191 RB – Jamal Mungo Jamal Mungo 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State MD Jr – Archbishop Carroll
Jamal Mungo Jamal Mungo 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State MD Jr is having a spectacular season in 2022, and he is for sure a top three running back in the District of Columbia. In Carroll’s victory over Bishop McNamara, Mungo Jr carried the ball 24 times for 135 yards and 1 score. His skillset was simply too much for the Mustang defense to handle, and his pure power just wore down McNamara’s front-line throughout the game. Jamal Mungo Jamal Mungo 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State MD Jr is most certainly one of the best uncommitted players in the entire DMV, and scouts everywhere who are looking for running backs should 100% have their eyes on Jamal Mungo Jamal Mungo 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Archbishop Carroll | 2023 State MD Jr. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he finishes the 2022 season as the #1 overall rushing leader D.C., and he looks to take the lead in the rush attack race this Saturday @1PM Eastern against their fellow WCAC competitors Bishop Ireton.

2024 5’11 185 WR – Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC – Archbishop Spalding
In Spalding’s 29-6 victory over Pallotti, Brown played about as well as you can play without scoring. Brown hauled-in 9 passes for 110 yards, and he even made an impressive catch on a deep ball thrown by Malik Washington Malik Washington 6'4" | 190 lbs | QB Archbishop Spalding | 2025 State MD . Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC displayed premier footwork and route running ability in this game, and it’s clear that he is improving in each and every game. The Spalding receiving corps has absolutely come to play in 2022, and Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC is a fundamental piece of the Cavaliers’ offense. Spalding faces Gilman next this upcoming weekend under the Friday night lights @7PM Eastern.

2026 6’4 190 QB – Braeden Palazzo Braeden Palazzo 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McDonough | 2026 State MD – McDonogh
The class of 2026 QB, Braeden Palazzo Braeden Palazzo 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McDonough | 2026 State MD , delivered jaw-dropping performance over the weekend for McDonogh, and he led the Golden Eagles to a 21-10 victory over their MIAA rivals Loyola Blakefield. Palazzo was nearly perfect on the day, as he went 18/20 passing for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns, and his efficiency at this level for his age simply cannot be ignored or taken lightly. Palazzo added a rushing touchdown on the day, bringing him to three total in the contest, and his scrambling ability was particularly efficient in the red-zone. Braeden Palazzo Braeden Palazzo 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McDonough | 2026 State MD is already one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the class of 2026, and he hasn’t even finished his first semester of high school yet. To say I am impressed with Braeden Palazzo Braeden Palazzo 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB McDonough | 2026 State MD is an understatement, and I suggest that everyone tune in to watch him play, as I will, in his next home game this upcoming Friday @7PM Eastern against Pallotti.
