Del-Rio is a burner out of the backfield and has a chance to break one loose every time he touches the ball. He is a patient runner that gets behind his pads and packs a punch for his size while able to find small creases and hit the hole quickly. A home-run threat in the open field, he shows lateral movement abilities in the short area while able to force bad angles by defenders with sneaky third level speed. Only a Junior, he is a no brainer college caliber kid at the next level and is one of the top backs across the region.
Highlights
Blades has really seen his recruitment pick up in the last month, picking up offers from Valley City State and Ottawa University. He is a true plugger in the middle and is strong at the POA while excelling in run support while playing in the box. Able to apply pressure up the middle, he shows active hands when pass rushing and runs through contact at the first level while showing a high football IQ and quick play recognition. Seemingly a 10+ tackle a game kid, he is very active, plays with a high motor and shows good toughness.
RB Trenton Fisher, Homedale HS
Fisher is a very elusive back that plays a lot bigger than he looks and runs hard through the first two levels while able to make defenders miss in one on one situations. He shows strong initial acceleration through the hole with contact balance while able to break arm/ankle tackles in traffic and has the speed/vision in space to cutback on over-pursuing defenders. Holding one offer from Eastern Oregon, he should collect other NAIA, D2 and D3 offers as he progresses through his Senior season.
ILB Rory Leavitt, Thunder Ridge HS
Leavitt is one of the more under-recruited kids across the state and has legit FCS potential at the right school. He is a downhill thumper that is a sure tackler in the box, takes good angles to ball carriers and brings a huge thump upon contact. Reading plays quickly, he shows closing speed, can take on bigger blockers with a heavy shock and quickly gets off blocks when scraping over the top. As he continues on through his Senior season and into the off-season, he should see colleges start showing interest and offering as he is one of the top linebackers the ’23 class that Idaho has to offer.
