This has been one of the more unpredictable and competitive regular season in my recent memory, and I’ve loved and appreciated the high schools around that state with dedicated live streams that allow me to still get a taste of the action from my couch in Gainesville. I’ve seen some great games this season from all classes of the state, and if you’ve been reading our weekly reports and features you already know that Minnesota has seen some fantastic individual efforts from offensive, defensive, and special team standouts in 2022. Today we have the Week 7 edition of our featured series, and there were some eye-popping stat lines from last Friday and Saturday that PrepRedzoneMN wanted to highlight for your enjoyment. 1) Daniel Freitag Daniel Freitag 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Bloomington Jefferson | 2024 MN (Bloomington Jefferson) Junior. WR. – Was a huge part in the Jags 29-22 victory over Hastings as he totaled 11 carries, 6 receptions, a little more than 160 all-purpose yards and 3 TDs, a passing touchdown, two interceptions, and a PBU. Stud.
2) Zach Bosse (Mankato East) Sophomore. DB. – The underclassman tied the Cougars school record for single-game interceptions as he picked off three passes as East edged Faribault 20-12. Mankato East and West go at it tonight.
3) Jacob Mattick (Coon Rapids) Junior. QB. – Coon Rapids’ QB1 went off vs. Cambridge-Isanti and was 22-27 for 290 yards and 4 passing TDs as well as a rushing TD.
4) Cade Osterman Cade Osterman 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Elk River | 2023 State MN (Elk River) Senior. QB. – There were multiple Elk River standouts last week, and QB Osterman had a great showing with 12 carries for 265 yards and 4 TDs and added a passing touchdown for good measure.
5) Max McEnelly Max McEnelly 5'10" | 205 lbs | ATH Waconia | 2023 State MN (Waconia) Senior. RB. – The Gophers wrestling commit popped off against St. Louis Park to the tune of 272 rushing yards, 4 TDs, and a passing TD.
6) Caden Rodkewich Caden Rodkewich 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB St Anthony | 2023 State MN (St. Anthony Village) Senior. QB. – The productive passing duo at St. Anthony Village went off again last week and Rodkewich was 22-32 for 388 yards and 5 TDs through the air with 30ish rushing yards as well.
7) Tanner Zolnosky Tanner Zolnosky 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB East Ridge | 2024 State MN (East Ridge) Junior. QB. – Against Eastview High School, the consistent stat-monster Zolnosky was 14-15 for 361 yards and 4 TDs as East Ridge got the win.
8) Alex Elliott Alex Elliott 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Hutchinson | 2023 State MN (Hutchinson) Senior. LB. – The Minnesota Gophers commit helped Hutch take down Delano and recorded 9 tackles, a forced fumble, and two INTs, one of which he took to the house.
9) Nick Walter (Annandale) Junior. ATH. – Walter is having a good season and added to his production against Princeton High School as he went 8-12 through the air for 134 yards and 2 TDs as well as a 2pt conversion. He also added 5 carries for 28 yards and a TD, 3 tackles, and an interception on defense.
10) Sawyer Siedl (Hill-Murray) Senior. RB. – PrepRedzoneMN’s #1 ranked RB rushed for 255 yards and 3 TDs on 25 carries as the Pioneers took down South-St. Paul.
11) Keenan Wilson Keenan Wilson 6'2" | 280 lbs | DL Eagan | 2023 State MN (Eagan) Senior. DL. – The NDSU commit was a disruptive backfield force and gave Burnsville fits to the tune of 7 tackles, 5 TFLs, and a sack.
12) Ralph Naimah Ralph Naimah 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Irondale | 2023 MN (Irondale) Senior. ATH. – In a big win against Cooper that avenged a loss in 2021, Naimah rushed 16 times for 144 yards and 3 TDs.
13) Evan Hatton Evan Hatton 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB Mounds View | 2024 State MN (Mounds View) Junior. LB. – Despite taking an L against Stillwater, Hatton posted a monster 5 sack performance from his OLB spot.
14) Beau Schrot Beau Schrot 6'2" | 205 lbs | LB Faribault | 2023 State MN (Faribault) Senior. LB. – Had a strong defense performance against Mankato East and finished with 8 tackles, 3 TFLs, 2 sacks, a rushingTD, and a passing TD!
15) Logan Bunker (Elk River) Junior. RB/OLB. – The 6’1, 205 lb. workhorse has came on strong the latter part of 2022 and posted 14 carries for 284 yards and 2 TDs as well as 2 tackles on defense against Alexandria.
16) Wyatt McCabe Wyatt McCabe 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Watertown-Mayer | 2023 MN (Watertown-Mayer) Senior. RB. – Shredded the Holy Family Catholic defense with 18 carries for 175 yards and 5 TDs.
17) Joseph Randle Joseph Randle 6'3" | 210 lbs | WR St. Anthony Village | 2023 State MN (St. Anthony Village) Senior. WR. – The receiving half of SAV’s passing offense, 6’3, 200 lb. Randle caught 8 passes for 159 yards and 3 TDs as the Huskies beat St. Paul Johnson.
18) Peyton Podany (Anoka) Sophomore. QB. – Was 29-40 through the air for 306 yards and 3 TDs in a tight loss to Park of Cottage Grove.
19) Caden Spence Caden Spence 6'1" | 190 lbs | RB Zimmerman | 2023 State MN (Zimmerman) Senior. RB. – One of the best RBs in Minnesota, Spence suffered a tough loss to Milaca and posted 20 carries for 210 yards and 3 TDs.
20) Tanner Schmidt Tanner Schmidt 5'11" | 170 lbs | WR Stillwater | 2024 State MN (Stillwater) Junior. WR. – Part of a potent Ponies passing attack, junior Schmidt posted 4 catches for 107 yards and 2 TDs as Stillwater took down Mounds View.
21) Maxwell Woods Maxwell Woods 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Chanhassen | 2024 State MN (Chanhassen) Junior. RB. – The explosive junior had a good day against a stout Holy Angles defense and tallied 19 touches for 173 yards and 2 TDs.
22) Greg Schafer Greg Schafer 5'10" | 155 lbs | RB Lakeview | 2023 State MN (Lakeview) Senior. RB. – Had an explosive stat line in a big win against Canby as he totaled two touches for 139 yards and 2 TDs.
23) Bo Bokman Bo Bokman 5'7" | 175 lbs | ATH Lakeville South | 2025 State MN (Bethlehem Academy) Sophomore. RB. – The Faribault product had a good day against Winona Cotter as he went off for 9 rushes for 150 yards and 2 TDs. BA got the dub.
24) Deontae Flemino Deontae Flemino 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR East Ridge | 2024 State MN (East Ridge) Junior. WR. – Zolnosky’s favorite target in this 2022 season, Flemino caught 3 passes for 128 yards and a TD against Eastview High School.
25) Connor Fournier (Maple Grove) Senior. K. – Undefeated Maple Grove had a strong ST showing last week thanks to Fournier and went 3-3 on PATs and 3-3 on FGs, all between 23 and 32 yards.
