We are getting this information from coaches around the region, recruits themselves, and family members of the recruits. We have confirmed these reports by reviewing recent game film highlights to confirm these recruits have what it takes to play at the next level. We will preview each recruit with a short analysis of their skill set and also provide highlight film of all the recruits. These recruits below are in no specific order or ranking.
“Williams” is quick on the edge. Does a very good job with containment responsibilities. Plays fast and delivers the blow on his target. He reads the run or pass quickly and then reacts to make the play quickly. His awareness in coverages are very good. His physical presence is something that pops on film. He shows the desire to attack and tackle with supreme aggression. His college interest will increase after the season.
Highlights
“Shovlin” is a 6’5″ freak. He shows the strength and leverage to dominate along the line-of-scrimmage as a run defender. His defensive battles are won with speed, quickness and power as an edge rusher. He has size and he is explosive. His first step out of his stance is quick. He has Power 5 offers that will continue to increase until he chooses where he wants to go. Solid Recruit!!!
Highlights
“Buckhannon” has a special skill set. His elite athleticism allows him to play bigger than his 5’8″ size. He is very quick and it pops on film. He stands out on defense and on offense. On defense playing safety he can ball hawk, or be a security blanket over the top. He recognizes when run support is needed and he reacts with elite quickness to come up and make the play. He tackles with low pad level and runs through his targets. His freshman film shows on offense, he is a home run threat each time he carries the ball. He does really well on outside perimeter runs where he can use his vision and speed to wiggle through and away from defenders. Solid recruit who will have a slew of D1 college interest going forward.
Highlights
His consistent play on both sides of the ball, have already grabbed coaches attention. The sophomore is described as a true baller. He just continues to make plays week after week. Its it’s not by lack of competition. He simply can play and he enjoys himself while doing so. On offense he plays multiple positions WR/RB, including being put into wildcat formation and taking the direct snaps. All for major gains or TD home-runs. On defense he can ball Hawk from the safety position while using his speed to help in run support especially on the perimeter. It’s very hard to recognize he is only a sophomore. He plays with such experience and maturity that easily pops. His college interest will heighten after the season if not during the season.
Highlights
In review of his freshman, (varsity) film, “Howard IV” is a burst of energy and strength that creates havoc for offensive lineman. He has technical skills combined with speed and quickness that allow him to easily break double teams with force. His eyes are always to the backfield and is seen making many tackles behind the line of scrimmage as a freshman. He appears to be a leaner 6″4″ frame with athleticism and good feet.
