Zion-Benton scored early and often and didn’t allow Waukegan to put up a single point on the board. One thing worth noting about Zion-Benton’s roster is they are loaded with young talent, and from what I saw this past weekend, they could without a doubt be a sleeper team next season and climb up the Lake County Power Rankings.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the prospects from Zion-Benton who had standout performances this past weekend…
Darrion Coleman Darrion Coleman 6'2" | 180 lbs | DL Evanston | 2023 IL | RB | 2024
Coleman finished the game with one rushing touchdown and displayed how naturally gifted a runner he is on the field. He’s a great athlete with good upside, and if he can put it all together, he’ll be a sight to see next year as a senior. He’s a shifty runner with above-average speed and simply gets the job done on the ground.
Keith Foulks | RB | 2025
I was really impressed by the way Foulks ran the ball, especially in the 2nd quarter. There was one drive in particular in which dominated form start-to-finish. He displayed a combination of power and finesse that was capped off by a 12-yard touchdown run. He’s also a sophomore who appears to have a promising future ahead of him
Ethan Bieszczat Ethan Bieszczat 6'1" | 195 lbs | LB Zion Benton Township Highschool | 2023 IL | LB | 2023
Bieszczat had himself an impressive day on the defensive side of the ball. His motor was non-stop and It seemed like he was wherever the ball was and was making his presence felt with each tackle. He capped off his day with a scoop-and-score that put the final nail in the coffin on Waukegan.
Rmoni Beals | WR | 2025
Beals completed the game with two receiving touchdowns and showcased why he has a chance to be a special receiver over the next few years for Zion-Benton. He’s a playmaker from the receiver position who is dangerous as a deep threat. Has great size for a receiver and has an effortless stride. With Beals only being a sophomore, he’s definitely a prospect coaches are going to want on their radar.
William King | QB | 2024
King’s stellar performance puts him on my radar as one of the rising dual-threats in Lake County. The junior quarterback finished the game with one rushing touchdown and three through the air and was without a doubt the driving force behind Zion-Benton’s offensive attack. He’s still early in his development but appears to have all the necessary skills to have a breakout senior season.
