Groves is electrifying with the ball in his hands. Screen game, special teams, deep ball, you name it, Groves has scored every way this season. His elusiveness and route running are his strengths. Defenses should beware when #7 is on the field in space. He’s a player you have to get a body on or he’ll make you pay.
I had the opportunity to watch Carter in person in a game where he was a weapon on special teams and on the offensive side of the ball. He’s lengthy and has deceptional speed with a long stride. One play that stood out when I was at the Newtown game was the hitch route along the sideline, where he maintained balance down the sideline and dove into the endzone for the score.

There’s only one way to describe a player like Etheridge, a return specialist and big play weapon. The first two minutes and thirty seconds of his mid-season film are touchdowns after touchdowns on plays over 30-40+ yards. He has emerged as one of the top return men in the state to this point. Keep a close eye on him as he matures into a veteran big play magnet.
Junior is varsity vet who’s developing into a sure handed possession receiver. His biggest threat is the ability to make contested catches down the field. This past regular season he’s recorded almost 700 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. He has smooth and throughout his movements, allowing him to redirect for under thrown/back shoulder passes effectively. Check out his film from his last game below, 4 catches for 103 yards and an interception at cornerback.

Tye’Shawn has the one thing you can’t teach, speed. He’s flat out fast, and the shiftiest receiver in that Mustang receiving core. He has a suddenness to him that you can see in his routes during his breaks. His acceleration is dangerous, he catches defenders flat footed, by the time they turn to run he’s down the sideline with the ball. He has good ball skills and makes catches all over the field. He can high point over DB’s his size and make catches through contact across the middle of the field.
