These two teams have fan bases that have been at it since Friday night after each team won their third round games. A lot of people think that Louisville is a quick favorite. We all know they’re aren’t any real favorites in the playoffs. It’s any given Friday at this point.
HOUSTON
Jordan Pratt Jordan Pratt 5'10" | 190 lbs | LB Houston | 2023 MS is ready to put this team on his back. He is a stud that has been toting the rock a lot for the Hilltoppers this season. He is going to have a lot to worry about this Friday. It won’t be easy running the ball on this Louisville defense. Louisville also has a high flying offense. Houston needs to use their running game to help keep that Wildcat offense on the sideline. This is a week where both teams will just have to line up and be tougher. Jacobe Pratt is also a big time playmaker on this offense. He knows how to get the job done. Will Echoles Will Echoles 6'4" | 305 lbs | OL Houston | 2024 State MS and Button Lakes Button Lakes 6'1" | 295 lbs | OL Houston Highschool | 2023 MS are some big guys who gets the job done for them in the trenches.
Echoles is a guy they use in the trenches on defense. A lot of people think that will be his position in college. That good very well be the case for him. A lot of Houston’s players are going both ways. That’s going to be a big concern for them this week. Hope they have gotten a lot of rest for this game. They have a lot to worry about with the Louisville offense having a lot of fresh players. Both of the Pratt guys will be out there on defense as well. These two studs pack a mean punch and love to come up and hit. If they can keep this Louisville offense contained they have a great chance to win the game. They cannot let the Wildcats get going early.
LOUISVILLE
Louisville needs to understand that the passing game is going to be tested this week. Houston has a good secondary and loves to be physical. Jykevious Goss is a player on the Louisville team who is ready for that. That’s the type of game he likes. Jaden Triplett is a good running back that can also pop out and play receiver. Key Jackson has been very hot at quarterback. He was on fire last week against Caledonia. This week he looks to lead his team back to the state title. As a receiver in 2020 he had eight catches with one hundred and eight yards in their state title victory over Poplarville. He’s a stud that handles his business on the field. He’s going to do what he can to help this offense. Swahili Earby needs to be on his game early. No slow starts for the senior 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver.
Gabriel Moore Gabriel Moore 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Louisville | 2023 State MS is going to be the leader of the defense Friday. The same way he has been all season. Moore has his work cut out for him this game. Houston loves to run the football. DJ Miller is another guy that will help him out in the trenches. Corxavier Coleman and Kendon Sanders Kendon Sanders 5'9" | 200 lbs | LB Louisville | 2024 State MS are both some good linebackers that knows how to read. Look for them to be making some stops. Their secondary won’t have to do much, but they don’t need to go to sleep. Houston will pop up and hit EJ Stovall a time or two. This is going to be a good game.
