Davenport is a human who simply doesn’t make much sense. To be that big, yet that nimble, agile, and athletic doesn’t make much sense. He’s off the ball fairly quick and packs as strong of a punch as anyone you’ll see. He’s got incredibly strong and violent hands and once he latches onto a defender that rep is over. With his size, he’s able to leverage down defenders and shove them into the ground, sometimes almost too easily. He’s able to set his feet and is someone you can tell who works on his mechanics. While not perfect, he’s fairly decent for his age and size. He keeps his hands inside and is able to shift and move his base. He doesn’t plant and stick. He’s a good athlete and that’s the biggest thing here. He’s able to do everything you ask him to and he thrives. In the running game, he’ll blow his guy off the ball and clear the way. He’s great on the move and is like a rolling train when he comes through. Defenders have 1 option. It’s to move or be moved. Davenport is someone with as much raw talent and ability as one can have. Depending on where he ends up, he could be eyeing Sundays down the road.

Armani Davis Armani Davis 6'7" | 290 lbs | OL Pike | 2023 State IN – Pike – OT – 6’7″ 290lbs – 2023
Davis is a fantastic, yet still a bit raw, athlete whose upside isn’t quite seen yet. He’s sitting at 290lbs but has the frame to blow up and could easily hit a healthy 300’s once he gets into that college lifting program. He’s a legit Tackle and does a fantastic job setting the edge. He’s got incredibly long arms and is always the first person to make contact which allows him to redirect the defender regularly. He frustrates defenders and gets under their skin with how he’s able to control and manipulate them at the LOS. In the running game, he’s fairly good but needs some work not getting too top heavy when he’s moving a guy back. He’s someone who could be fantastic in a zone scheme concept where you get him moving and remove anyone who gets in the way. With his size and raw intangibles, Davis is quite an intriguing prospect. He’s got the size and raw potential you look for while having played against some of the state’s best competition. He’s a motivated player and seems to check all of the right boxes as well. Once he gets up to the college speed and puts some weight on, he’s a starting Tackle and will make an impact for his university.

Ty Mead Ty Mead 6'2" | 260 lbs | OL Avon | 2023 State IN – Avon – IOL – 6’2″ 275lbs – 2023
Mead is an incredibly nimble athlete who is great on the inside of the line. He’s able to be moved to either Guard side and has experience playing Center. He’s got the versatility you look for and has no issue bouncing from spot to spot if ever needed. He’s someone who gives you piece of mind knowing if someone goes down, you’ve got a Starter who can move anywhere on the interior. He’s off the ball incredibly quick and is a beast in the running game. He’s got great control of his body and is able to win almost immediately down after down. He’s able to go on the move and be a lead blocker as well as work with a double team to the next level on interior runs. He’s fairly smart on the field and that stands out all the time with just the little things he picks up on. His upper body has gotten stronger since the last time I watched his tape and it’s noticeable. He’s able to plant and win with his chest now which is the progress you like to see. Mead is potentially a bit light right now but as he puts the weight on, I think he’ll blossom into a star. Once the weight gets there and he’s up to speed, I fully anticipate him being an incredibly reliable starter for whatever program lands him.

Jackson Ruess Jackson Ruess 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL Crown Point | 2023 State IN – Crown Point – OL – 6’4″ 280lbs – 2023
Ruess is going to be a fairly good example of who to target if you want to build a good program. He’s incredibly versatile, smart, and is still learning and getting a feel for what he can do. With his size and ability to bend, he’s someone who could play inside or outside depending on what he’s asked to do. In the running game, he’s as good as they come at this level. He’s off the ball in a flash and then flips the switch. He’s going to play through the whistle and if his guy is on the ground, he’ll find someone else to bury next. He’s got a high motor and it’s noticeable with just how fast he hurries downfield when he needs to. He’s fast enough to get out front and lead the way in the screen game as well. In the passing game, he’s decent. While there is room for improvement with his footwork, it’s not bad by any means. He’s able to set his feet and adjust on the fly. He’s got a really good center of gravity and has really good balance which only bodes well down the road. Once the development comes and he gets comfortable, he’ll be starting at the next level and will have a fantastic career wherever that is as well.

Collin Butler Collin Butler 6'4" | 280 lbs | OL Leo | 2023 State IN – Leo – OL/DT – 6’3″ 260lbs – 2023
Butler is arguably the most intriguing prospect on this list because of where he’s coming from and the fact that he’s still a potential defensive recruit. First and foremost, offensively Butler comes from a triple option offense. He’s great in the running game and understands angles, leverage, and how to blow his guy off the ball. He plays angry and has a great ability to get leverage and win as quickly as you’d want. He’s able to go on the move and be an effective lead blocker as well. Since he does come from a triple option offense, Butler is a little behind the 8 ball in pass protection and having as many reps protecting as he could. Definitely not his fault by any means, but just something schools will look at. However, that’s where it’s important to talk about who Butler is. An incredilby smart and hardworking player who seems to learn faster than some of those around him. Plus, Butler has that defensive option. He’s got that same switch he flips on defense. He knows how to split gaps and defenders and how to get into the backfield to blow plays up. He’s able to force ball carriers back inside and eliminates the big play. He’s all over the field on defense and will wreck a game plan if he’s not accounted for. Butler could put some weight on and develop, but as he does I’m sure the coaching staff will see what he can do and how good he can be and he’ll be on the field sooner than later.
