Times are critical now. If you lose you are going home. The regular season record is out the window. What your team did last week is out the window. Janet Jackson once asked what have you done for me lately? That’s the energy during this time of the year.
Houston vs Itawamba AHS
This is going to be a very good game. Both teams are familiar with each other. They are only about one hour away from each other. Houston is going to be more of a running team while Itawamba will have a balanced offensive attack. It is hard win games in Houston, but the Indians from Fulton know how to get it done. They have a very good football team.
Houston has a very good team. They love to run the ball behind William Echoles who is a very good offensive lineman. He is the guy that gets this offense rolling. He also steps up and plays big on defense. William Echoles is one of the best players in Mississippi for the 2024 class. He is a big reason that Houston is very successful.
Houston is going to need to be ready to play good defense Friday. Nobody can write down a game plan to stop this Itawamba offense. They are not just loaded, Itawamba has a balanced offense. Houston is going to need all of their guys to be ready to do a lot of running around Friday. Pressure in the backfield will Houston’s best bet Friday. Nothing will come easy in this game for their defense.
Itawamba is going to come in the game ready to play. They have guys like Thomas Kline, Ty Davis, Isaac Smith Isaac Smith 6'2" | 180 lbs | ATH Itawamba Agricultural | 2023 State MS , Layth Holliday and Zion Ashby who can really hurt defenses. You do not want to see this players on a high horse. It will be a very long night for your defense. Itawamba knows how to run the football and they can also pass. Davis was recently extended an offer to play at Mississippi State and Smith is one of the most highly recruited prospects in Mississippi.
Smith also excels on defense. A lot of people think that is where he will play on the next level. I also think he will play defense on the next level. Nonetheless he is a superstar. He is a leader. He will have Itawamba’s defense ready to face this Houston rushing attack.
Louisville vs Caledonia
Caledonia knocked off Clarksdale in the graveyard. The graveyard is what Clarksdale fans like to call their stadium. This was a shock to a lot of people. Last year Caledonia beat Louisville during the same round 27-7. That hasn’t been a good taste in Louisville’s mouth since last year. Now they get a chance at revenge. This will be a good one.
Caledonia is known to be disciplined. That’s why they come in and win games. They have a flex style wing t offense that will catch you off guard. Daniel Wilburn and Braden Walters are their players to keep up with. These guys can defeat a team by themselves. You are going to want to keep your eyes on these guys. They are the truth.
On defense Caledonia will be lead by Avery Hodge. He makes the plays for them on that side of the ball. He will be that guy for them. He is going to have his hands full. This Louisville offense is loaded and knows how to put up points.
Louisville has their offense hitting on all cylinders. Key Jackson, Jaden Triplett, Jykevious Goss and Swahili Earby are doing their thing. These guys are putting up numbers. I love the style they are playing. Them switching to Key Jackson at quarterback was a very smart decision and has this team rolling.
Gabriel Moore Gabriel Moore 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Louisville | 2023 State MS and Christavious Savior Christavious Savior 6'0" | 160 lbs | DB Louisville | 2023 State MS has the defense on point. They are going to play fast and physical. They also aren’t happy to know what happened to then against Caledonia last year. Last year they surprised Louisville. This year they have Louisville’s full attention.
